SAturdays has reached its 3rd round and this one had buckets on both sides of the cout big time, making for a big round of ball, some teams getting revenge on previous matchups, and some teams just had their game on point, check it out!
Div 1 was a case of one team getting hot and the other team not having a great outing, with the defence piling in, every shot was hard work in the days top Div.
Haz Beanz started strong and got the jump on Towradgi Rattlesnakes who always bring their game. Aaron P couldnt miss much as he led his team with 21 points to ensure they get the win this round.. Elliot J with an epic performance and great score of 16 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Henry E slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 22 points on the sheet , Jack C had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 15 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Has BEanz coming out strong and pushing their brand of ball, getting the outside shots going and putting work in on th defensive end. Rattlesnakes were a handful early game with their Jack C and Henry getting hot early, but Has Beanz kept at it and by halftime, the control with with the defending champs. Rattlesnakes did well to limit the bleeding but in the end were overcome with Azzas mega efficient game from outside and on the break.Has Beanz in 1st and Rattlenakes in equal 2nd.
#talktomebro knew what to expect when they faced Miami Vice in a game that started close but ended one sided. Dan W getting stats from everywhere including 18 points to shut the defense down. . Loong L got to good spots on the court and shot well with 8 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Jed P Popping up some well timed floaters in the lane getting numbers, with 18 points recorded by the bench , Lach E 16 & Luke A played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 15 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . TTMB getting back to their old dominant ways as the Vice crew cop the L this time despite some good shooting spurts. Vice just couldn’t use the zone effectively enough to get good stops, the indise play of their bigs and paint points were too much this time, TTMB in equal 1st and Vice in 3rd..
Div 2 had some new matchups all around, as teams face each other for the first time and suss each others playbook out. Who got it done this round in the D league?
Sneaky Prawns ,right out of the gates, jumped on the Straight off the Couch in a game that started close but ended one sided. Pas E weaved through the zone D with some nice footwork finishing on 28 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Sam 22 & Karl P played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 22 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Jackson P heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 18 points but a loss unfortunately , Muhammad S the recipient of some nice extra passes for open shots getting him 13 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Prawns just too strong on the inside and on the glass compared to SOTC who were doing their usual bombs from outside, keeping the gap in score in mind as they rushed to get some high scoring plays. Pas was all over them and was dunking and dropping in layups on a wall of D, but he was too big too strong and also got help from Sam and karl on22 each, a classic Prawns game! Straight off the couch in 4th and Prawns in 3rd.
Canned Heat started strong and got the jump on AGENTS and pushed it all the way to the end. Jack P got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 20 points to get over the line. . Al DF getting stats from everywhere including 10 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Michael P just too much touch on the midrange shot with 9 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Jono C played well as far as getting 5 points but a loss unfortunately . Heat wasn’t canned this game as every play was fought hard for by Canned Heat getting heated an heavy on the glass, whilst looking for their snipers to land some trays. Agents still building chemistry at this point and were working some things out, at the expense of the game, as they went down to a constant attack from Canned Heat who sit in equal 2nd with Agents in a stacked rank..

The Oubres just able to get the win by a bucket or so vs CBT needed every time out to get the result they need, and Jesse O channelled Kobe and wanted the win this time, getting 30 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Whilst on the other team, Todd V Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 17 points but a loss unfortunately , TJay V had a pretty good game scoring wise with 14 points as he pitched in to add to the score. . Oubres getting the win by a hair, by Danilos big time 5 point run at the end of the game to close out and win by 1! The game was intense and tight, both sides having their friendly rivalry bum pup a notch as the game was on the line, Oubres closed out in garbage time, but it was back and forth the whole game! The next time they matchup will be intense!
Gongstar started strong and got the jump on Nuggets who struggled to break the defense to get buckets. Alex P beasted hard this game finishing on a great 21 big ones to conlclude the mission . Mark M 11 & Froi played well as far as getting 10 points on the sheet which simply outscored the other teams leaders being, Andrew F heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 20 points recorded by the bench , Oliver C finished the game with a commendable 17 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . This game had the Nuggets come in and they weren’t sure what to expect, with one of the always dominant teams in Div2 coming out with some energy. And some big plays unfolded, including 2 massive Jams late game all over the defence, create posters and putting a close on the game! Gongstars in equal 2nd and Nuggets in 3rd
