Division 1 got off to a big start with a lot of teams looking to captilize on their matchups and get a W to keep their rise to the upper ladder ranks!
Shaqtin’ a Fools got a good first ever win on the forever hustling Wasted Potential couldnt stop the unselfish offense they were faced with this game. Elliot J couldnt miss much as he led his team with 19 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Lachy CR had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 18 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Darcy R got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 26 points on the sheet , Ziv Z was heating up as he bagged 13 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Wasted Potentials undefeated 4 game winning streak comes to an end with this top of the table match against Shaqtn which could be a finals preview! Things just clicked again for the defending champs boucing back from their streak ending loss last week to take down these big ballers. And it was tactical defensively all game giving the Shaqtn crew a few extra chances to score, and they did well on that front grabbing Orebs and not missing any chances at a play. WP just weren’t on their game as the inside was busy and didn’t allow their forwards to get going. Darcy did what he could from outside and did well, but the team effort of Shaqtn won through as they are all tied up for 1st place with each other!
Benders got a good win on the sliding Unanderra 26ers and it went to plan as they got a W on the backs of their scorers. Dan M Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 11 points to shut the defense down. . Karlos H finished the game with a commendable 10 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Denzel V heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 18 points recorded by the bench , Will D ended up with an efficient 11 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Benders streak goes out to 3 now with this win on the 26ers who were mid table but have dropped a few games lately. Benders starting to get momentum and 26ers just cant seem to close the games out, looking for a solid offensive set that they can rely on in this structured basketball division. Dan M got the troops rallied and they pushed it inside for some good and1s. Benders now in equal 2nd and 26ers sitin the 3rd rank!
Div 2 was similar matchup wise with Div1 where the top teams faced off and a new team jumped into shake things up, welcome to Straight off the Couch!
The Bandicoots knew it would take more than buckets, they needed stops and that got them the win.. Double Dribble in a grind of a game coming right down to the last few minutes to decide the winner. Angus M couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 26 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Sam P was unconscious and had no remorse for the defense piling in 13 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Grant O owning the glass and taking names in the post with 12 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Shane S just too much experience shooting the 3 with 9 points on the sheet . Bandicoots were pushed to the limits in this one as the scores were so close no1 left like they were getting headway. But mid 1st half the Bandicoots mad a run that DD just couldn’t limit and stop the bleeding. At times they got close, only to have Angus drive and scoop layup to stop their runs, another big game from him and it was all Bandicoots by the final buzzer. Double Dribble in 2nd by a little over a game behind the still first place Bandicoots!
Cream City grinded out a win in back and forth match vs Straight off the Couch , who underestimated the accuracy of their opponent and copped a loss for it Mark focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 10 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Ken N getting stats from everywhere including 8 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Jackson P got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 17 points but a loss unfortunately , Dom K the recipient of some nice extra passes for open shots getting him 4 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Cream City was ready to go and put their best foot forward, and back on both ends of the court. A new team and new opponent theyd never faced and Jackson P made sure they aren’t to be taken lightly. They just needed a few more to step and and match the efforts of Cream Citys guard lineup who hit their shots and the bigs did their job on the glass, a Creamy win and 2nd place in the div for Cream City!
Div 3 was set to explode as old rivals face off and ranks are up for grabs with many teams fighting to keep or advance in the ladder, top ranks are only less than a game apart!
Dunkings put the ball in the hot hand and summoned some clutch factor against Orange Peelers in a loud and hectic game keeping refs active and players tense. Sam B 9 & Pranav played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 9 points to get over the line. . Hayden A the recipient of some nice extra passes for open shots getting him 8 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Amura J got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 14 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Omar N kept his average up there for the season with a nice 8 points but a loss unfortunately . Orange Peeler’s 4 game winning streak comes to an end with this top of the table match against Dunkings which could be a finals preview! Dunkings weren’t sure about this one but they took the court and balled out, doing well to stop the drive in the key from Peelers, and Dunkings were able to hold a small lead in the 2nd half which the Peelers kept glancing but not overcoming as the game went on. This time around we had a new winner as Peelers take the L this time after the locked scores in the dying minutes had Sam B hit a layup to ice the win and now share the spot with top ranked Orange peelers in a 2 way race for #1!

PRESTIGE WORDLWIDE grinded out a win in back and forth match vs Average Joes and knew it would be a test on their troops. Jarod F channelled Kobe and wanted the win this time, getting 14 big ones to conlclude the mission . Rhys D had his ducks in a line with a great game on 9 points on the sheet which simply outscored the other teams leaders being, Scott T scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 15 points recorded by the bench , Dan B slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 15 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Prestige are looking more and more prestigious as they get a great win on the Av Joes who pushed it right to the buzzer, going inside to the cup to get their work done as the mid range game was also evoked well. They just weren’t able to stop the mid game run by Prestige who had their points from slashing and dishing as well as some big crucial 3s by Daniel C..Prestige sit in 3rd place and Av Joes in 4th!
L.A ICONS took the game second half from the Air Ballers and hustled harder getting the W. George S put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 20 points to ensure they get the win this round. Dimi S weaved through the zone D with some nice footwork finishing on 16 points to get over the line. simply out working the other scorers being, Joel RJ kept his eye on the hoop and ended up with 10 points in this game. , Dan H getting stats from everywhere including 10 points in the loss . The most Passionate team in the div gets another W and shoots up to the equal 1st rank in a three way tie that only the next week weeks will sort out as these teams will inevitably face off and sort it out. This game though was physical and loud, as the AirBallers were hungry for this win, they just couldn’t match up with the inside work from George and the mid range game from Dimi and the boys who go them a small lead they built on as the game progressed. The Airballers did really well inside as well, and hit on some good looks from inside the arc, but the LA Icons hit the fast break hard and collect many cherrys giving them the edge by the final buzzer.
