ROUND 12 is where we are up to in the season, and the Monday night ballers get back to it after a short break to put on their kick and put their work in as this round we saw some nice moves and some closely contested shots in all divs!
Div 1 has all separate ranks, with 2 -4 points between ranks, teams look to go on a streak and change up their place on the ladder as the 2nd half of the season proceeds
Shaqtin’ a Fools started strong and got the jump on Bone Collectors in a game that had the winners go on scoring runs that werent answered in time. Lachy CR getting stats from everywhere including 23 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Jack H also helped out in the win with 19 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Jerome T got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 24 points on the sheet , Jamie C the recipient of some nice extra passes for open shots getting him 8 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Bone Collectors 3 game win streak is over as the top fo the table clash went down this round! The game started close, with both teams getting their shots warmed up, the scores, bouncing back and forth, but mid 2nd quarter Lachy jumped on to put up a big shooting display which couldn’t be contained and put the Shaqtn crew ahead for good, Jack H playing a great game inside and out, which was too much for the Bone defenders who were weary from having to grind on the offensive end against the very handsy Shaqtn crew. Shaqtn in 1st still and puts a little distance between then and Bone Collectors who sit in 2nd.
Wasted Potential took the game second half from the Benders and knew it would be a test on their troops. Angus M heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 21 points to shut the defense down. . Dan B 12 & Darcy R played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 12 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Dan W got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 24 points recorded by the bench , Chris W was stroking it with ease from all parts of the arc. 18 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Wasted Potential looking good and still poised to take their former 2nd place starting with a win on the rank just below them, the Benders. Benders came out with somenice treys and good passes on the inside to their bigs cutting along the base, but Wasted Potential had some long range weapons of their own and some nice passing in the paint which got them some extra and1s for their efforts. Benders had a late run which fell just short as Wasted Potential take this W and the 3rd spot still, Benders in 4th.
Div 2 is short stacked with teams but at a high level of competitiveness as they go around again to face off with the season series record on the line for either team!
The Bandicoots grinded out a win in back and forth match vs Double Dribble but too many lost posessions resulted in a loss to their foes Angus M couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 29 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Sam C Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 6 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Jayke Z pulling up Js from the around the paint and beyond resulting in 13 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Shane S scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 8 points on the sheet . Double Dribbles 3 game win streak is over as the top of the table clash went down this round! This was a close one, and always is, with Double Dribble forcing the action inside whilst Bandicoots looked for their open shooters on the outside to get more points up leaving Double Dribble to chase them around leaving them short on the stops this game despite some good passing to open shooters. Bandicoots had Angus warmed up already and ready to get more buckets, which he did and almost hit 30 this game, putting the 2nd place Double Dribble to sleep this time around as they dominate the season series so far and sit in 1st!
Unanderra 26ers went back and forth but held the lead most of the game against Cream City in a game that had the winners go on scoring runs that werent answered in time. Zach F heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 17 points in the big dominating victory. . Denzel V had a pretty good game scoring wise with 15 points to get over the line. but on the other side Trent scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 15 points as he was operating in automatic mode , Cody kept his eye on the hoop and ended up with 10 points together as they go down in this matchup. Unanderra 26ers had it going on, as their runners went to work on the break and the shooters got out to the wings to bomb 3s on Cream City whos attack was based on a give and go drive, grinding till the end to fight for 2s. Unanderra 26ers were all over it and hit their 3s and 2s alike giving Cream City a hard time on the glass too. Zach & Denzel making a splash and top scoring to lead to the win. Cream City go down this game but not by much! Unanderra 26ers sit in 3rd and Cream City just behind them in 4th.
Div 3 was always going to be a hectic string of matchups that could go either way! With all but the 6th rank separated by 3 points or less between them, its on from here till the playoffs are n sight!

Joel RJ focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 9 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Daniel C getting stats from everywhere including 7 points but a loss unfortunately , Craig scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 5 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Air Ballers still hyping their way to a win and this game was a prime example as they got behind every play the boys could pull off and giving encouragement and confidence to the troops, all culminating into a W again and a 4 game win streak! And sitting in 4th spot vs the Prestige crew who are in 7th but just weren’t able to match the energy this game and did what they could to slow the bleeding, AirBallers too strong this time around again behind their versatile scorers!

SOTC came to the game keen to get some buckets, and they were doing well in the first half, hitting thress and some strong work down low too. Orange Peelers just all energy as they put the guards on their mission to run the break and slash when possible. SOTC weren’t able to defend the post well enough with the big machine that Will is, doing what he does best by bullying the post and getting layups. Orange Peelers snuck away with the win as they controlled the game and never let SOTC back in once they were ahead. Orange Peelers sit in 1st still and SOTC in 6th.
Pandemic Ps shot the lights out against a helpless Bricklayers who werent ready for them this game. Mitchell B channelled Kobe and wanted the win this time, getting 22 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Conor T pitched in to add to the score with, 17 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Les H was heating up as he bagged 6 points but a loss unfortunately , Jaymz 3 & Michajlo pitched in to add to the score with, 3 points as he pitched in to add to the score. Bricklayers tried to put their best plays into effect, but Pandemic Ps weren’t having it, as they all got trigger happy on the 3 hitting then when it hurt the most for Bricklayers, who were getting good looks on the inside but struggling to shoot past the Pandemic Ps defenders. Bricklayerstake the L this time as Pandemic Ps now in 5th.
Dunkings got a good win on the Average Joes and knew it would be a test on their troops. Sam B let it fly and hit more than missed with 16 big ones to conlclude the mission . Ivan C helped out with the load getting 15 points on the sheet which simply outscored the other teams leaders being, Scott T getting stats from everywhere including 16 points recorded by the bench , Dan B getting some fadeaways to fall to contribute to the result with 15 points helping out with the teams offensive load. This matchup is always a close one, with both teams taking similar approaches to the game, and some great player matchups in their positions, it just came down to who shot better, and this time Dunkings took the win as Sam B and Ivan hit 3s and drives that Av Joes couldn’t answer back for on a few plays and that cost them the game, dunkings in 2nd and Av joes fighting to get into playoff contention with the 8th seed.
L.A ICONS werent going to stand down against Miami Yeet in a game that started close but ended one sided. Dimitri beasted hard this game finishing on a great 20 points to ensure they get the win this round. George felt it was time to step up and got 20 points to get over the line. simply out working the other scorers being, Maxi M couldnt miss much as he led his team with 18 points in this game. , Ryan pitched in to add to the score with, 14 points in the loss . Miami Yeet were taken aback by the old school play from LA Icons as the physicality started early, frustrating the Miami Yeet crew with their tenacity to get into the paint and get some higher percentage shots to go . And they did, mid game, L.A ICONS jumped out to the lead and didn’t look back, Miami Yeet reaching into their bag of tricks to get something going, but it wasn’t happening this game, the very defensive L.A ICONS able to stop the offensive sets that Yeet were throwing at them! L.A ICONS in 3rd and yet in equal 6th!
