Buckled Knees with an amzing finish and win vs More Buckets in and overtime thriller that kept the crowd waiting for the next bucket to close the game Mitch R beasted hard this game finishing on a great 15 points to ensure they get the win this round. Joel S 9 & Davo G kept his average up there for the season with a nice 8 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Jack T let it fly and hit more than missed with 11 points on the sheet , Sam T first step too quick for the guard defense on top totalling 10 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Big time game this one turned out to be, as the two teams face off for the first time in UBL Thursdays history… Buckled Knees starting slow with some of their patented long threes not going in but that changed soon as they realized that More Buckets can play and put up some numbers. More Buckets started strong and the spread scoring effort was led by Jack and Sam who kept the game close. By the regulation time buzzer it was all drawn up and the overtime period was needed to see who would win. More Buckets answered back with the first Buckled Knees bucket, but after that they ran away with a couple more points, and it was over. Buckled Knees still equal first and keeping their streak alive.
Figtree Cannons took the game second half from the Rogues who werent ready for them this game. Nathan C got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 20 points to shut the defense down. . Andrew F was stroking it with ease from all parts of the arc. 10 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Jake scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 11 points recorded by the bench , Zach F was heating up as he bagged 8 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Cannon are looking strong as they get out running and hit the break hard. Nathan C super active and getting his own rebounds to put the ball in and dominate the game, Andrew F had a great 1st half to get the lead for Figtree Cannons giving Rogues the problem to deal with down low and out on the three. Rogues had some great plays and were unlucky on some turnovers giving Figtree Cannons the ability to close the game out and keep the 2nd rank. Rogues sit in 3rd now and look to be a challenge for the divisions teams!
Globo Gym shot the lights out against a helpless Dream Team whos shooting has been streaky compared to recent times. Reggie K couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 31 point game to contribute to his teams effort. .
