MONDAY season is dwindling away as there is only 3 round left after this one and the ballers seem to be putting in extra work to get in form for playoffs, the big scores this round and clutch plays in all Divs as ROUND 16 concludes!
Div 1 had 2 games and one of them was a big matchup which skewed the ladder up top and will effect the coming ranks, some career high achievements and some huge runs!
Bone Collectors grinded out a win in back and forth match vs Wasted Potential in a grind of a game coming right down to the last few minutes to decide the winner. Jerome T , a huge huge night with a rarely seen display, possible UBL career high! 42 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Ivan C got a few buckets to go helping out the team with 9 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Angus M let it fly and hit more than missed with 20 points on the sheet , Darcy R getting stats from everywhere including 17 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Wasted Potentials 6 game winning streak is busted! and they cop their 2nd loss of the season! Bone Collectors knew this was a game they had to win, and they put in work , particularly Jerome T who was hungry for some buckets and just couldn’t be stopped this game, pooppin gup Js and euros and finishes to dominate the game. Wasted Potential had a great scoring effort spread amongst the team as thei strongest lineup was put forward this game, 3 players that can get you 30 easy, but Bone Collectors got stops and kept up the hustle and stole this one. Bone Collectors in 2nd now and Wasted Potential in 3rd!
Shaqtin’ a Fools knew what to expect when they faced Dellys Disciples undermanned but pumped up for the challenge. Jack H put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 24 points to shut the defense down. . Elliot J slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 17 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Griffin S had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 15 points recorded by the bench , Pat 10 & Jordan P pitched in to add to the score with, 9 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Shaqtin’ a Fools started out warming up the shooters and Dellys Disciples did their best to limit the scoring at the start of the game which worked well until Jack got going and hammerd in some big 3s and put backs giving the momentum to Shaqtin’ a Fools, Dellys Disciples playing catch up most game, some big 3s by JP and a great first game by Griffin. Shaqtin’ a Fools still riding high in 1st and Dellys Disciples in 5th.
Div 2 was off its head, with the results turned upside down it shook the ladder a bit bringing the points difference closer in each rank. The next 3 weeks will be a race to the finish!
Cream City just able to get the win by a bucket or so vs The Bandicoots in a grind of a game coming right down to the last few minutes to decide the winner. Trent F slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 21 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Mark T first step too quick for the guard defense on top totalling 20 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Angus M couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 36 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Darcy FS the recipient of some nice extra passes for open shots getting him 10 points on the sheet . Cream City were all working well as a unit this game, with the give and go and the extra space for shooters from screens, Bandicoots weren’t ready for this them like usual, Angus getting his buckets, a big 36, but this wasn’t enough still as everyone got buckets on Cream City, Bj on 3s, mark T slashing and finishing with contact, an Trent getting a flow of points including the go ahead bucket with the game time dying.. Cream City in 2nd and The Bandicoots still in 1st, but equal first now after this loss!
Unanderra 26ers had all their troops ready to do battle and come back ina huge way with Double Dribble and it went to plan as they got a W on the backs of their scorers. Zach F getting stats from everywhere including 14 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Jordan S beasted hard this game finishing on a great 14 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Eddie P got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 16 points but a loss unfortunately , Jayke Z pitched in to add to the score with, 14 points helping out with the teams offensive load. 3 games losing streak is done for Double Dribble! This game was back and forth all game Unanderra 26ers keeping having a not so great first half, being outscored 30-17 with a 13 point gap to cover in the last 20 mins of the game. . Eddie was a monster this game getting buckets from all parts of the court, whilst Jayke was big from 3. The 2nd half was all Unanderra 26ers though as Tim and Zach put in some huge scoring runs to lead the way to the last play. . Div 3 games were physical and started to show the hustle from some players who are getting their gears oiled for the next 3 weeks to qualify for playoffs in a staked division!
Orange Peelers got a good win on the Bricklayers who werent ready for them this game. Amura J got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 20 points to get over the line. . Will focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 10 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Ian S scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 9 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Richard T ended up with an efficient 8 points but a loss unfortunately . Orange Peelers getting their General back leading the offense and distributing to the scorers helping things flow a bit better. Amura was energetic hitting some nice 3s and finishes on the break, this was hard for Bricklayers to stop and despite a great game by the whole team in a spread scoring effort, they copped the L. Pandemic Ps took the game second half from the Air Ballers and went back to the locker room with a solid Win. Mitch B put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 20 big ones to conlclude the mission . Conner T channelled Kobe and wanted the win this time, getting 13 points on the sheet which simply outscored the other teams leaders being, Daniel H Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 15 points recorded by the bench , Brayden, Darcy, Joel played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 4 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Pandemic Ps were looking to build on their new win streak and got a big game out of Mtich B who provided energy ont eh break and the momentum most of the game. Air Ballers stared strong, but the scoring fizzled a little an Pandemic Ps were in the lead by 13 at the half looking to bring it home and not let the Air Ballers get back in. Pandemic Ps are in 3rd place now and Air Ballers in the 4th spot.
L.A ICONS werent going to stand down against Prestige Worldwide in a game that started close but ended one sided. Sam H beasted hard this game finishing on a great 24 points to ensure they get the win this round. Dean 7 & George ended up with an efficient 7 points to get over the line. simply out working the other scorers being, Sonny scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 14 points in this game. , Daniel C played well as far as getting 11 points in the loss . L.A ICONS were ready to go and pushed forward without their Captain trying to rise up the ranks with every win. Prestige Worldwide have been playing well of late but just missing out on the 2nd half luck as the other team just edges ahead. This one was all L.A ICONS as the scoring never stopped, Sam H orchestrating the offense well and getting his own buckets in the process, a monster game that Prestige Worldwide couldn’t overcome despite Sonnys fast break points.. L.A ICONS in equal 2nd and Prestige Worldwide in 8th but only 2 wins away from the middle ranks.
