Div 1 games were opposites with one easy win and one hard fought win for the elite of Saturday. The ladder look shifty and the ranks are steady for now with the 2nd place tied up!
Haz Beanz ,right out of the gates, jumped on the Miami Vice in a game that had the winners go on scoring runs that werent answered in time. Noah WG put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 23 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Fil M pitched in to add to the score with, 14 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Kieran K scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 18 points on the sheet , Seth played well as far as getting 12 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Haz Beanz came out with a different line upa but the same formula to win as they took on their old old revials again, Miami Vice . Miami Vice had a terrible start, with the warmed up Haz Beanz shooters getting to work right away. The main attack was from the inside, as Noah went in to beast mode and Fil M filled up the mid range. Miami Vice saw the late comers to the game get some buckets, including Seth who was aggressive on the drive! Haz Beanz still undefeated with 1 round left, sitting in 1st! Miami Vice in 3rd now.
Mudflaps took the game second half from the Towradgi Rattlesnakes who struggled to break the defense to get buckets. T Rhodes focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 20 points to shut the defense down. . Johnny M kept his average up there for the season with a nice 15 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Jesse put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 30 points recorded by the bench , Jack C pitched in to add to the score with, 7 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Mudflaps started slow with the Rattlesnakes pushing it on the break with every chance, and hitting some threes as the Mudflaps warmed up and got going. Todd scored the last 10 points in the half for his team and got them a 1 point lead. But Rattlesnakes kept up and it wasn’t till the final minute that with the Mudflaps down, patty L slashed to the win after a shaking his defender and scooped a go ahead bucket in to snatch the win for the equal 2nd place Mudflaps. Rattlesnakes in 4th now as we go into the double points round next week.
Div 2 had its own ups and downs, with the top 2 teams deadlocked on the same score, the ranks would shift at any time with double points next week!
CBT werent going to stand down against The Klaws who sit in the middle of the ladder looking for a streak. Todd V heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 25 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . CBT were cooking, with the hot shooting of Todd V getting his team the big wins lately, a 4 game winning streak. Sneaky Prawns was ready this time around for Gongstar undermanned but pumped up for the challenge. Kieran K got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 27 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Sam pitched in to add to the score with, 18 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Lach M Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 9 points but a loss unfortunately , Froi F was feeling good with 8 points as he pitched in to add to the score. Sneaky Prawns getting sneakier every game as we near the end of the regular season. Gongstar always step it up at this time, and they tried to despite being under sized down low. Sneaky Prawns went heavy on the drive as Kieran was warm and ready to keep rolling through the lane collecting bodies and buckets. Gongstar got some good looks to go in, Lach M returning and getting some productive points and stats. Sneaky Prawns take this one out with style though as they look to improve their 4th rank.
