TUESDAYs get more hectic every week. With the action back on and thriving on all courts, it looks to be a ripper of a season ahead with just 2 rounds in and the Ballers are keen for more Ws!
Div 1 has some teams that got some good wins and unexpected results! The defending champs going down as the competition heats up!
Top Gun Agents got a good win on the Multiple Scoregasm who always bring their game. Eddie L channelled Kobe and wanted the win this time, getting 19 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Brent H had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 17 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, James UC beasted hard this game finishing on a great 15 points on the sheet , Michael H Popping up some well timed floaters in the lane getting numbers, with 9 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Too strong on the inside this tie for Scorgasms, Top Gun Agents got out quickly and kept up the scoring giving Scorgasms a hard time to keep up the pace..they did well on the inside too but the hot shooting of Top Gun Agents from outside made all the difference!
The Bandwagoners went back and forth but held the lead most of the game against Double Dunkers in a game that started close but ended one sided. Lachlan CR got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 25 points to shut the defense down. . Edward A owning the glass and taking names in the post with 18 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Jed P was heating up as he bagged 20 points recorded by the bench , Seth G points from slashing and finding the gaps in the zone D. 10 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Bandwagoners taking it seriously this time around as they took on the defending champs Double Dunkers! The outside shot was falling for Bandwagoners and that was the difference in the 2 teams’ tactics, big numbers from the guards Lachy and and threes from Josh whilst Edward has some good touch on his shots inside…great win for Bandwagoners!
Dream Team got a good first ever win on the forever hustling FreeBallers and set the tone from the start, big mentions to the performers in this game. Nathan D couldnt miss much as he led his team with 17 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Dave 9 & Jayke Z weaved through the zone D with some nice footwork finishing on 9 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Will G just too much experience shooting the 3 with 13 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Andy K owning the glass and taking names in the post with 12 points on the sheet . Dream Team too strong this time as they owned the fast break, leaving FreeBallers chasing the lead the whole game, and they didn’t get it done, Will G hit some 3s but they needed more and the rebounds just slipped out too and went straight to the Dream Team for more shot attempts. FreeBallers go down this time to Dream Team in a good matchup!
Div 3 was ready to go and with the teams starting to get their campaigns underway the matchups were good on all time slots!
Bezznation started strong and got the jump on DKz Ballers in a clinic, taking advantage of lesser defensive matchup. Adam R couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 18 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Sam J finished the game with a commendable 14 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Zac B beasted hard this game finishing on a great 13 points but a loss unfortunately , Ryan C 8 & Jake pitched in to add to the score with, 7 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Bezznation looked like they had their offense figured out this game, with DKz Ballersnot able to stop the inside paint action Bezznation ran away with the lead and kept it till the final horn. DKz Ballers did what they could to stop the scoring runs but Bezznation had too much chemistry and size and took this W.
Love Handles got a good first ever win on the forever hustling Alley Oopsies in this round which would result in a great match. Christian D heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 26 points to get over the line. . Ethan P also helped out in the win with 6 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Matt W scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 8 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Tony K pitched in to add to the score with, 5 points but a loss unfortunately . Love Handles looking good and pushing their brand of ball, pushing the offense through Christian who has had a hot hand lately! Alley Oopsies were out running but they didn’t know how to stop the outside shot this time and that was their downfall. Love Handles taking the win as they look to build on this win.
The Generals gets the W in a much needed and hard fought versus Feel Team 6 couldnt stop the unselfish offense they were faced with this game. Bennett R got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 15 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Jordyn W pushed the fast break and trasnsition offense resulting in 13 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Bailey was heating up as he bagged 14 points but a loss unfortunately , Tom N ended up with an efficient 6 points as he pitched in to add to the score. . Generals have been looking like a well oiled machine lately with some additions that have brought iit all together. Feel Team 6 were doing well too but the midrange shooting from the Generals just put the game out of reach for Feel Team 6 despite Bailey putting up some 3s and good numbers to keep in the hunt.. Generals red hot right now!
Fighting Ducks wins a resounding victory over the unlucky The Prawns and set the tone from the start, big mentions to the performers in this game. Ivan C put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 15 big ones to conlclude the mission . Lachlan M pulling in much needed offensive rebounds as well as 11 points on the sheet which simply outscored the other teams leaders being, Chris O Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 14 points recorded by the bench , Kaden pitched in to add to the score with, 7 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Fighting Ducks usually wear a white uniform, but this time, they had the dark ones, and put in a mean effort against the White Jersey wearing Prawns. The midrange was The Prawns go to, but Fighting Ducks did it just a little better and had more points once there was no time left. Prawns looking for their groove to snap this slump and get a good win streak together this season!
