Div 1 games were a good show of the stacked Div on Mondays as the points scored were up there and all contributing to the race for the Top scorers this season, with the top 20 in Div 1 updated weekly!
Shaqtin' a Fools shot the lights out against a helpless Bone Collectors and pushed it all the way to the end. Elliot J got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 27 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Lachy CR had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 25 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Doug K finished the game with a commendable 13 points on the sheet , Jerome T pulling up Js from the around the paint and beyond resulting in 11 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Shaqtin' a Fools facing Bone Collectors for the first time this season and the matchup was good, with the Bone Collectors getting some work done from the mod range as their opponent got on the break, switching sides and putting gup unanswered 3s, enough to give the L to Bone Collectors . Shaqtin' a Fools top of the ladder now holding their position after this one.
Benders Traded buckets most game, but kept a nice buffer all game to close it out vs The Whoopsy Fudge Stripes who struggled to break the defense to get buckets. Dan W let it fly and hit more than missed with 15 points to shut the defense down. . Dan M also helped out in the win with 9 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Paul R played well as far as getting 7 points recorded by the bench , Cody C just too much experience around the paint getting 6 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Benders taking on the Whoopsy Fudge Stripes crew for the first time ever, and they were able to figure them out late game and put the ball into the mid range where Dan W went to work. The Benders put some effort on Defense in and Whoopsy Fudge Stripes wrent able to match the offense this time, Benders take the W and sit in equal 3rd.
Wasted Potential started strong and got the jump on Dellys Disciples and set the tone from the start, big mentions to the performers in this game. Ziv Z heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 30 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Dan B also helped out in the win with 15 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Zac S focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 24 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Jack M pitched in to add to the score with, 20 points on the sheet . Wasted Potential gt out to work early with some quick buckets in side, then the rain happened from outside, Dellys Disciples weren’t able to put up the same numbers this time, despite big games by Zac and Jack M. Wasted Potential put the ball into Zivs hot hands this game as he slashed his way to a cool 30. Dan B did his thing on the inside and it was game! Dellys Disciples in equal 3rd and Wasted Potential in equal 2nd!
Div 2 saw some solid games take place, with the games taking three flavours, an OT battle, a semi close one, and an out of reach game..
Pandemic Ps with an amzing finish and win vs Foy Boys in a super close overtime battle decided by the final play, Jake TH with an epic performance and great score of 8 points in the big dominating victory. . Jake L finished the game with a commendable 7 points to get over the line. but on the other side Harry S getting stats from everywhere including 10 points as he was operating in automatic mode , Elliot B ended up with an efficient 8 points in the matchup that couldve gone either way. . Pandemic Ps taking on Foy Boys for the first time and this one went down to the wire! Foy Boys coming off some recent close games, but this one was just as close OT in fact! Pandemic Ps kept up the pace and held the lead going into the end of regular time but Foy Boys brought it back to tie up the game, the last shot not landing and it was overtime. Pandemic Ps and Foy Boys fought it out for a few minutes but it wasn’t till the end when Jake TH hit a bit layup with time expiring to win the game! A solid battle to witness, no doubt a rivalry in the making!
Penetrators started strong and got the jump on Dunkings in a clinic, taking advantage of lesser defensive matchup. Owen C couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 26 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Jordan H finished the game with a commendable 11 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Jono C beasted hard this game finishing on a great 16 points but a loss unfortunately , Jacob G pitched in to add to the score with, 4 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Penetrators too good and too fly this game, as Dunkings tried their best to keep up the pace with an undermanned roster. Dunkings had some good plays throughout the game, but Penetrators were running hard and spreading the floor, the big game by Owen C too much for Dunkings to match this time around. Penetrators get the W!
Double Dribble got a good first ever win on the forever hustling Buckled knees in this round which would result in a great match. Shane R let it fly and hit more than missed with 12 points to get over the line. . Jayke Z also helped out in the win with 11 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Scott M scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 15 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Mitch R pitched in to add to the score with, 8 points but a loss unfortunately . Double Dribble faced off with the Buckled knees for the first time this season and will meet them many more! Buckled knees were on the back foot at the start as they were faced with some good shooting by DD snipers, Jayke drilling some undefended threes as they whipped the ball around to the open man. Buckled knees hit some big shots too and Scotty was on fire but needed another big scorer to step up. Double Dribble take their first win in the series between these two teams.
Div 3 is stacked with teams and this round it was a battle with some games going down to the wire!
Cream City grinded out a win in back and forth match vs Gong Heavy and knew it would be a test on their troops. Trent focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 17 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Mark T 8 & Tom just too much experience around the paint getting 8 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Ali M put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 26 points but a loss unfortunately , Doug C ended up with an efficient 6 points as he pitched in to add to the score. . Cream City started slow but picked up the scoring later in the first half to catch up to Gong Heavy who had Ali firing on all cylinders, hitting floaters from everywhere and 3 bombs makinng Cream City step up a gear. Trent put in work and led the way in scoring as Cream City crept back up and kept the lead late 2nd. Gong Heavy go home with an L despite a big night from Ali M!
Orange Peelers took the game second half from the Sweeet Azz , who underestimated the accuracy of their opponent and copped a loss for it Omar N with an epic performance and great score of 14 big ones to conlclude the mission . Amura J slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 12 points on the sheet which simply outscored the other teams leaders being, Ash put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 16 points recorded by the bench , Mana pitched in to add to the score with, 6 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Orange Peelers facing off against Sweeet Azz for the first time and it was a close one! With Omar picking up his hustle late game to inch the Orange Peelers forward, and with the last minute upon them they were able to keep the control with some free throws and win the game. Sweeet Azzsit in equal 3rd and Peelers in 1st place!
Average Joes ,right out of the gates, jumped on the Bandicoots in a game that started close but ended one sided. Matt B couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 26 points to ensure they get the win this round. Dan B had a pretty good game scoring wise with 13 points to get over the line. simply out working the other scorers being, James C couldnt miss much as he led his team with 12 points in this game. , Bodhi M ended up with an efficient 8 points in the loss . Average Joes doing everything right this game as they put their effort in on both ends giving Bandicoots a hard time all game. Bandicoots did well with some inside attacks, but couldn’t match the big night from Matt B who was lighting it up from everywhere! James and Bodhi did well to stop the bleeding at times, but Average Joes come away with the W and 3rd place.
Air Ballers had its sights set on Raining 3s and it went to plan as they got a W on the backs of their scorers. Joel RJ felt it was time to step up and got 13 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Sam T focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 8 points in the big dominating victory. combining for a a good total to out do the eventual defeated, whos scorers were; James H put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 16 points but a loss unfortunately , Jarrod B kept his eye on the hoop and ended up with 8 points worth of buckets in the loss.. . Air Ballers were all over this one as they took on Raining 3s for the first of their many matchups this season. And Raining 3s were doing well until the hype crew of Air Ballers locked in and got the ball to the big man with the moves Joel who kept the pressure on the Raining 3s zone, a method that got them this W! LETS GO!
L.A ICONS wins a resounding victory over the unlucky Bank Shootaz in a game that started close but ended one sided. Dan M got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 27 points worth of buckets in the win. . George S 24 & Dimitri S helped out with the load getting 22 point performance. simply taking over and stifling most of their scorers expect for, Nathan R scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 14 points recorded by the bench , Neil R ended up with an efficient 10 points but a loss unfortunately . L.A ICONS were on their game this game, and the Bank Shootaz had some great looks too, but the cheery pick on the break was the L.A ICONS biggest tactic and the leak out scorers got their numbers. With 3 ICONs scoring over 20, the big 3, Dan George and Dimitri, were an unstoppable force this game. Bank Shootaz were helpless this time around and took the L.
More action next week, as the year winds down and the action keeps on getting more lit each week!
