1st quarter was a tight one with both teams getting their scorers warmed up and ready for the battle. Brynn started hot with 9 in the quarter and jack H was starting to get loose with 5, whilst Dan M hit 2 threes to start off and Dan W had 5 points to start his night, both teams shooting well and defending hard against the other team
2nd quarter is when the game starting swinging in momentum for the Shaqtin crew as they started getting the other scorers involved and putting in work on both ends to give them a great 18-7 quarter holding the benders scorers to a limited amount of points by controlling the boards and limiting their turnovers. THe game wasnt done yet as Benders looked to fight back, but the 3s werent falling for them as the game entered the 2nd half.
3rd quarter was when Dan W opened up his scoring mounting up 24 points so far and shooting well to try and keep up the pace and bridge the gap, but it was not going well for them as the lead was extended by Shaqtin who had Lachy start to fire up with a solid quarter of scoring as Brynn and Jack kept puttin in buckets to frustrate the Benders defenders.
4th quarter started with Shaqtin up by 20 and a big task for benders to try and catch up. Shaqtin wasnt having it and kept up the pressure and the pace con the break to put the foot on the Benders' throat and take the victory with a classy win. 4 players in double digits for Shaqtin and only 2 for Benders as this quarter concluded and the game!
Top performers this game for Shaqtin was Brynn S on 23 and 71% shooting, Jack H with 21pts 10rebs and 7assists in a monster all round game. And the man running the points Lachy CR puts in 20pts 7 rebs and 10 assists!
Benders has some good perfomers too with Dan W getting the game high on 30 points and 12 rebounds, Dam M on 13 points with 3 threes, givign the Benders the bulk of the points on this one.
Shaqtin a Fools win their 2nd title in so the last 3 seasons in a dominant game. The crew was able to put away a solid Benders team which had fought its way through the season and playoffs and put up a good fight against a great team. Well done to both teams as Shaqtn a Fools are crowned Division 1 Champions for Season 8!

1st quarter was a low scoring start for both teams, with the nerves in the air and the defense being played, it was hard to get a bucket for both teams as they both shot below 20% for the quarter but both teams looked hungry for the chip and kept pushing. The scoring was spread with Jordan and Noah started to score well for Penetrators, and Foy boys has Ryan and Liam get their points in this grind of a match.
2nd quarter was still slow for scoring, but slower for Foy boys as they were outscored 12-7 in the quarter to give them a 9 point gap to cover which they started to get other players going to get the job done. Jordan H kept up his shooting as Patrick O got hot in the quarter as he pushed the ball into the mid range. Both teams still playing alot of defense limiting the buckets from either team.
3rd quarter started and both teams looked hungry to play hard in the 2nd half. Penetrators coming out a little surprised as Foy Boys were putting the pressure on with some fast breaks and some good stops, getting Michael D going inside and pulling in much needed boards. THe Foy Boys came back a little this quarter winning the quarter 15-10, but they still had a handful of buckets to make to draw the game up and try and snatch the momentum back as the 4th quarter loomed.
4th quarter was a back and forth scoring situation that didnt see either team gain alot of ground. with the score handing around the 10 points mark, Foy Boys made some good late runs to bring the game to within 7 in the end, the Penetrators able to withstand their runs and take the game as a W! A big win for the Penetrators who have had a dominant season that was tested everytime these guys played.
Top performers this game for Penetrators were Jordan H the finals MVP with 23 points and 8 rebounds, Patrick O almost a solid double double with 9 points and a monster 16 rebounds. Foy Boys had some nice numbers come in with Micharl F getting an 8 point and 15 rebound game to dominate the middle. Liam S was on 9 points to help his team out but the loss was what they copped this Grand Finals game.
Congrats to both teams for making it to the final game, Foy boys had a good run as one of the teams to beat this season, and they put up a good fight this game as the Penetrators are crowned Division 2 champions for Mondays Season 8!

1st quarter started off with both teams looking to get their eye in and test out the other teams hustle. The ball was loose many times and both teams were hungry as the scoring started and was spread out for both teams. Jerry V and Will with 4 each in the quarter, and Dimi S started getting going with 4 points also for Icons as the grind of a game enters the 2nd. The score pretty much even. Av Joes up by 1.
2nd quarter saw some scorers light up and create some sparks on offense and some big stop in defense. Av Joes were looking good and playing well as a team. Dru B was starting to heat up with 8 so far whilst controlling the boards with 8 and Will P continuing with 7 in the game. George S was active down low and was sitting on 8 so far as well as Sam H the man playing point who was slick with his 8 points so far also. THe score only 5 points in Av Joes' favor now as the icons looked to the 2nd half to start their attack and get their troops in line.
3rd quarter saw more of the same hustle on D and activity on offense with Dimi S opening up this quarter mounting his total to 12 so far as he guided the team as the game rolled on. This quarter the Icons really stepped up as Dan M helped out with 3s and the scoring was coming from the other Icons too as they whipped the ball around to each other for some good looks.. Icons win the quarter and end on a 19-10 run, grabbing all the momentum as they entered the 4th quarter.
4th quarter was the final chance for Av Joes to make a run and get the lead back. But Icons were going to give up the lead the easily and kept up the scoring, by volume shooting from 3 point land and pushing he fast break from some easy points. Av Joes werent able to get enough 3 bombs to go in down the stretch of the last few minutes and gave the lead toe Icons by 11 which they eventually won by in the back and forth match.
Top performers this game for LA ICONS was the Captain himself Dimitri S who went for a solid 19 point 4 assist game on 58% shooting to lead to boys to vitcory whilst Av Joes had a huge game from Dru B who got 21 points and 14 rebounds in the loss. Dan Barbz with 5points and 11 rebounds and Will P with 9 points after a great season.
Av Joes are sent home early and the LA ICONS claim the Division 3 title for Mondays with a solid win on a tough team. After a long season, well done to both teams and a big Congrats to the ICONS, Champions!
Div 4
Watch Dunkings vs GONG HEAVY!

1st quarter started off with both teams coming out with some energy and some big time shooting. The defense played was all out and the Gong Heavy crew were not making many mistakes as Paul G got 9 points in the quarter to start his team off nicely, most other stats were even with both teams. Dunkings down by 7 at the end of the period as they started a little slower in getting their way offensively.
2nd quarter was all Gong Heavy as they saw the man himself, Ali M start to get hot and see his 3 ball and floater land on target with 15 in the game so far ensuring his team stays ahead thie quarter as they out scored the Dunkings by 2 to maintain their 10 point lead. Hayden and Sam B were playing well with 5 each and Jacob G was the leader for the team with 8 so far. But a 10 point lead can be erased quickly in a finals game. the 2nd half would show us who the basketball gods favored this game.
3rd quarter action was where the Dunkings started to get a few plays to go and unleashed Sam on the break who was finishing nicely this game with some smooth scoops to the hoop, leadin ghis team with 12 so far and Dan Ms tough shooting night had some that went for him as he hit crucial shots with 9 so far. Both teams were even at this point statwise, the score now close as Dunkings were within 2 points of tying up the game!
4th quarter was a rush between the two teams to try and get ahead of each other, but it just wasnt happening as they traded baskets, Sam woudl score, then Ali would score, then Paul would hit a shot, then Hayden would land one. Anton was cleaning up inside and making things tough for Dunkings on the boards this quarter. The final moments of this 12 minutes saw the two teams tied up on 58 as the last shot didnt drop, so we have OVERTIME!
Overtime period started with 3 minutes on the clock, we would find a winner this quarter and both teams were in desperation s they tried to get some big buckets and so even bigger stops as the grind went on. Ali stepp up this quarter and was able to hit some late buckets including a huge 3, but it just wasnt enough as Jacob hit the last 2 free throws to ice the game with the final score decided by 3 points, Dunkings would take this one in the late stages of the game in a huge heartbreaker for Gong Heavy who had the lead most game only to fall short to a big scoring run by DUnkings.
Great season to Gong Heavy who battle with the best and this game fell short by only 3 pointer, the destiny of Dunkings is realized as they win the Division 4 Championships for Season 8 MOndays!
Well done to all who competed this season! It was a long season and big respect to the ballers for sticking through it! Stay tuned for next season! When UBL Returns Mid June!
