1st place DJs Ballers shot the lights out against a helpless 6th place Top Gunz undermanned but pumped up for the challenge. Daniel J felt it was time to step up and got 30 points consisting mainly of 3s with some tidy finishes also. . Lachy CR focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 19 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Brent H & Jack H the recipient of some nice extra passes for open shots getting him 12 points together as they go down in this matchup. Nuno also helped out in the win with 10 points worth of buckets in the loss.. With a few of their major assets out, Top Gunz kept ballin and kept it within range despite 5 3s from Daniel S in the first half, huge half for him and gave a 32 place 21 lead at the half, but he end it was 65 place 42 with the 2nd half being used to get inside buckets and busy the Top Gunz this game. Well done to Top Gunz on a great season , getting to the Semis to get done by a great team and favorite being the #1 seed.
2nd place Fighting Ducks werent going to stand down against 4th place Sugar Dunkertons in a game that started close but ended one sided. Bud G was heating up as he bagged 15 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Sam & Dejan wore the same jersey and also wore the same score…a 12 points getting some good passes to help with some easy buckets. Despite a good effort by the other team as Cam had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 26 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. , Adam M pitched in to add to the score with, 13 points but a loss unfortunately . The half time score was 33 – 25 to the Fighting Ducks, Dunkertons looking for some hopeful plays but only getting Cam going with a big game wasn’t enough as they needed another closer in th ened as they went down by 4…a great run to close the gap but short by only 4, unlucky Sugar Ds! Good season and good effort to lose to a great team also.Fighthing ducks advance to the finals, their teamwork testament to this victory.
1st place FreeBallers got a good win on the 6th place Parrots who struggled to break the defense to get buckets. Will G let it fly and hit more than missed with 22 points stroking it with ease from all parts of the arc. Ahmad 14 & Stretch also helped out in the win with 12 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Liam TR getting some fadeaways to fall to contribute to the result with 16 points together as they go down in this matchup. , Harry H scored well with 10 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Freeballers had the game from the first half with a balanced offense and a good level of D also, Parrots couldn’t get inside as much but hit some nice shots around the arc and inside, good season or the Parrots getting better and better with more experience, this time just short by 1 game to make the finals!! 4th place MEESEEKS grinded out a win in back and forth match vs 2nd place BBB in a physical matchup that will set the tone for next time. Matt G was hitting the midrange shot with some soft touches 12 points which was required to keep up in this hectic game. . Jack B kept his eye on the hoop and ended up with 8 points on the sheet the only resistance coming from, Matt C scored well with 6 points together as they go down in this matchup. , Shug A pitched in to add to the score with, 6 points in the loss. The game started out with a grind and no one getting the upper hand, the Meeseeks going to the line to get some points as BBB scrapped for every ball, frustrations mounting got the better of the coming up crew who landed in 2nd this season, BBB go home early this time but look to be a strong team again, Meeseeks need their Meeseek boxes going into the Grand Finals against FreeBallers, but with one game that they lost, it was to the Meeseeks, so the odds on this one are pretty even!
