COVID has kept the weekends extra boring till now! With the restrictions eased, its time to get back to the season we paused almost 4 months ago, it was a big round of shaking off the rust and retuning the jumpshot, good matches took place…
Div 1 had its classic matchups and a new team join the division, with Universe 7 bringing some high caliber players to battle the top teams, and it was high action this round!
Haz Beanz ,right out of the gates, jumped on the Miami Vice undermanned but pumped up for the challenge. Elliot J was unconscious and had no remorse for the defense piling in 28 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Azza P let it fly and hit more than missed with 23 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. whilst on the other team, Sam M beasted hard this game finishing on a great 32 points on the sheet , Dan W was heating up as he bagged 16 points together as they go down in this matchup. Has Beanz shooting didn’t look like it missed a beat after the long break as they rained in 3s and midrange shots, Elliot scoring the first 10 points of the game to jump ahead, Sam with a huge game unstoppable down low, classic matchup that will be a closer affair next time.
Universe 7 were pumped to be playing Mudflaps in a back and forth game holding the crowd in suspense Ethan L slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 24 points to shut the defense down. . Jimmy L felt it was time to step up and got 22 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as W Farrar was hitting the midrange shot with some soft touches 21 points recorded by the bench , Leman kept his eye on the hoop and ended up with 13 points helping out with the teams offensive load. First game in and they took on Mudflaps a great first test, and they just crept ahead in the end with a big run from Ethan with some go ahead threes and some close out D. MudFlaps hang onto 2nd place after this loss. Watch out for Universe 7!

Div 2 was ready to roll as the teams picked up their hustle and pushed it down the court for those ladder points to continue their campaign from the break..we also welcome back Towradgi Rattlesnakes to the comp who were keen to get back on the court!

The Oubres got a good win on the Fun Guys in a game that started close but ended one sided. Phil was heating up as he bagged 13 points to get over the line. . Copper W pitched in to add to the score with, 8 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Jonah 10 & Jye W scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 10 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Marley F took a back seat to scoring, but not by much getting 6 points but a loss unfortunately . Oubres with some extra power getting the lead to a good amount to defend in by the half, Fun guys kept driving and pushing the plays in the paint but weren’t able to get the W this time, oubres too smooth, getting the W.
Gongstar took the game second half from the The Klaws and was victorious this round, thanks to some players putting in work. Russell F Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 17 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Mark M focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 15 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Phillip let it fly and hit more than missed with 15 points but a loss unfortunately , Dave G played well as far as getting 9 points as he pitched in to add to the score. Gongstars had this one in the bag, then it came close, but then they pulled away again, the shots were going in for the Klaws inside and some on the break, but they couldn’t stop the lob into their forwards, copping the L this game.
