Mondays are back!!! The weekend is over and Mondays are exciting again with the season resuming where we left off before the pandemic break. The teams showed who was hungry this round with some new moves and improved plays. Who got up?
Division 1 and 2 have been combined for the regular season and will split again for playoffs, and the matchups were a little skewed but some close.
The Bandicoots ,right out of the gates, jumped on the Chiefs in this round which would result in a great match. Angus M was unconscious and had no remorse for the defense piling in 27 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Darcy 2.0 let it fly and hit more than missed with 12 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. whilst on the other team, Brandon R beasted hard this game finishing on a great 15 points on the sheet , A Radojcic was heating up as he bagged 10 points together as they go down in this matchup. The Bandicoots on a 5 game win streak and are 2nd in the div which is going to get heated up in the coming weeks pre div swap…Chiefs looking for the win streak to push them over the line, they keep getting close on matches but just short on closing out they sit in 6th …
Thicc Boiis were pumped to be playing Yorkies Corner in a back and forth game holding the crowd in suspense Balin focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 13 points to shut the defense down. . Ryan M felt it was time to step up and got 10 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Caleb H the recipient of some nice extra passes for open shots getting him 19 points recorded by the bench , Daniel H kept his eye on the hoop and ended up with 17 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Thic Bois in 4th spot all alone and are on a mission to fend off any rank below that tries to ccreep up the ladder, Yorkies first game was impressive…look out for that unit in the next matchup with them, itl be tough!
Double Dribble werent going to stand down against The Outsiders , who underestimated the accuracy of their opponent and copped a loss for it Adam M Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 17 points to lead to victory. . Shane S played well as far as getting 13 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Matt C getting stats from everywhere including 14 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Bunker scored well with 4 points on the sheet . Double dribble are in 3rd slot and hanging tough near the top of the ladder, whilst Outsiders are 7th and getting the itch to start climbing the ladder, this time the outside shot got the edge and DD get the Dub!
Dellys Disciples Traded buckets most game, but kept a nice buffer all game to close it out vs Foreplayers who werent ready for them this game. Owen got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 20 points in the big dominating victory. . Jack F had his ducks in a line with a great game on 18 points to get over the line. but on the other side Sam Davis felt it was time to step up and got 9 points as he was operating in automatic mode , James L 7 & Harold B got to good spots on the court and shot well with 7 points together as they go down in this matchup. Dellys came out switching up the lanes and putting up 3s to get a good lead which was defended well, Foreplayers couldn’t contest down low and although some nice drives worked, they just got short of the mark this time to a strong team!
Shaqtin’ a Fools knew it was time to face Better on 2k in a grind of a game coming right down to the last few minutes to decide the winner. Andy K got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 19 big ones to conlclude the mission . Elliot J started scoring later in the game but ended up on 14 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Jeremy B scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 14 points but a loss unfortunately , Jake L finished the game with a commendable 13 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . 2k 3 game winning streak ends with this loss to Shaqtn, Elliot had a slow start to the game his usual easy shots not landing till later, but it was enough to help The fools get over the line with some nice passes and work down low. 2k worked hard too but turned the ball over a few times mid game which may have cost them the game by a point! Div 3 was full of close ones and some back and forth hustle, with most players still keepin up their skills, the buckets were falling and the winners got it done.
Orange Peelers got a good win on the ONE FOUR Veterans and was victorious this round, thanks to some players putting in work. Omar N focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 12 points to get over the line. . Billy pitched in to add to the score with, 7 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Kye E scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 10 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Jub Y helped out with the load getting 5 points but a loss unfortunately . Peelers kept in the game with their style of play, the Js and dishes from low and keeping active on the glass, they pulled through in the end by not much as Vterans hit some nice jumpers and hanging layups, just short this time on a couple of plays that didn’t go their way…
Calderwood Canaries took the game second half from the LA Blobbers and was victorious this round, thanks to some players putting in work. Trent weaved through the zone D with some nice footwork finishing on 19 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Mark pulling up Js from the around the paint and beyond resulting in 12 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Dimitri S let it fly and hit more than missed with 17 points but a loss unfortunately , M Costa 6 & J Barry played well as far as getting 6 points as he pitched in to add to the score. Canaries getting the slight edge this time as they clip the Blobbers despite the Blobbers putting in some nice work on the outside shots and some big blocks from J Barry in the middle of the zone. Good matchup!
Unanderra 26ers got a good win on the PRESTIGE WORLDWIDE in this round which would result in a great match. Harry S got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 20 points to get over the line. . Tim R played well as far as getting 14 points on the sheet which simply outscored the other teams leaders being, Jarod F had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 14 points recorded by the bench , Daniel C was feeling good with 8 points helping out with the teams offensive load. 26ers were ready and keen to get it on and Prestige wasn’t able to stop the runs, the inside post action and the break at once, 26ers pulled away and kept the lead this time, Prestige had a tough task but stepped up to the challenge just to fall short till next time!
