Div 1 had the higher ranked teams win this time, not changing the ladder much this round, with the season well and truly over halfway now its anyways chance to turn their season around!
Hogz had its sights set on MIB and pushed it all the way to the end. Azza P put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 20 points to ensure they get the win this round. Elliot J pulling up Js from the around the paint and beyond resulting in 16 points to his name as he helps lead the boys to a much needed win. whilst on the other team, Dan B finished the game with a commendable 12 points on the sheet , Dobbie scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 7 points together as they go down in this matchup. MIb were hungry for this one but it just didn’t go as planned from the get go, the hot shooting from Hogz continued as they protect their top spot keeping their offensive flow moving the ball well and getting open looks with MIBs defender right on them. MIB are in 5th and look to streak soon if they get a couple of wins on the board.
Bombers took the game second half from the Splash and was able to get the much needed win. Jerome T heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 32 points to shut the defense down. . Jed P couldnt miss much as he led his team with 14 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Lachlan E played well as far as getting 10 points recorded by the bench , Christian 9 & Chili going to work down low in the blender. 9 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Bombers getting a big game from JT with his tuned high set point jump shot finding its target many times this game, the attack kept going and the defensive stops too from Bombers as Splash pulled up shots from mid range to keep up the pace, but just short by the end of the game. Bombers in 4th and Splash in 6th looking to break the losing streak soon.
Shooters Traded buckets most game, but kept a nice buffer all game to close it out vs Streetfighters who werent ready for them this game. Jake L Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 12 points to lead to victory. . Brooklyn G had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 10 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Andy K going to work down low in the blender. 14 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Anf N scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 9 points on the sheet . Great game with 2 evenly matched teams on paper, but in reality, the game was a grind, each team getting buckets to answer back each offensive play they threw at each other. Shooters got hot from outside in the final miniutes and put a 10 point gap that Streetfighters just couldn’t pull together to close. Shooters keep their 2nd place and 3rd for Streetfighters,
Div 2 had a game that was the top 2 ranks to go at it and it didn’t disappoint as both teams showed what they had in all categories of the statsheet
BUCKETS went back and forth but held the lead most of the game against Killa Beez undermanned but pumped up for the challenge. Anthony G couldnt be stopped this game, and could be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 22 points to get over the line. . A Mercer pitched in to add to the score with, 9 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Tyran R played well as far as getting 17 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Dan B just too much experience shooting the 3 with 16 points but a loss unfortunately . Killa beez 7 game winning streak is over! Buckets keep their 2nd rank but still 1 step closer to the #1 spot which is retained by KillaBeez despite this loss. Buckets were too strong on the inside and the put back shots from Orebs was the difference in this one, some Killabeez fastbreak layups rimmed out and that was the tale of this game. These teams will surely meet in the playoffs!
Div 3 teams this season have increased in numbers and skill as the ballers working on their rise to the top kept up their drive to get Ws
The Kents knew what they had to do against Fumblerz in a physical matchup that will set the tone for next time. Chris W was unconscious and had no remorse for the defense piling in 18 points to his name as he helps lead the boys to a much needed win. . Jarred M was heating up as he bagged 13 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Neale P played well as far as getting 9 points but a loss unfortunately , Danny B finished the game with a commendable 8 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Fumblerz 3 game winning streak is erased after this loss. Kents just too much defensively this game for the Fumblerz who like to pace the game, but Kents weren’t having it. The game was getting chippy and the Kents kept on stifling the FUmblerz full court putting a lot of stress on some of the Fumblerz players. Kents are in Number 1 spot and FUmblerz now in 3rd after losing this one to the sheer activity of the Kents
