Round 1 of the regular season is done, this round was epic with teams loose from last week and getting their hustle on!
Starting with Div1!
The Process got a good first ever win on the forever hustling The Battiers in a clinic, taking advantage of lesser defensive matchup. Luke A getting stats from everywhere including 19 big ones to conlclude the mission . Tim S Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 16 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Paddy F weaved through the zone D with some nice footwork finishing on 22 points which was required to keep up in this hectic game. Will D had his back with a 10 points as he pitched in to add to the score. . The Process with a breakout game getting a big win on the runner ups from last season! A statement to the Div, whos going to stop this momentum! Battiers first game of the season, still warming up but looking fresh, they’ll want revenge next time!
Rilla Raptors Started shaky against a loaded up Shaqtin’ a Fools and knew it would be a test on their troops. Tim S led all scorers on a solid 30 points and the game winning shot near the end of regulation. Jerome had a pretty good game scoring wise with 19 points on the sheet the only resistance coming from, Elliot J played well as far as getting 22 points as he was operating in automatic mode , Lachy CR played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 14 points in the loss . Raptors took this one with a crew of misfits able to win the game with some crazy shots from both sides in a fun game. The buckets in this one were good, the score close.
Then over to Div 2!
North Gong Urchins stood to face Warriors in a grind of a game coming right down to the last few minutes to decide the winner. Will D had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 19 points to ensure they get the win this round. . James B pulling up Js from the around the paint and beyond resulting in 12 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Adam K beasted hard this game finishing on a great 20 points, needing a few more to scrape the W. Urchins looking good as they spot the Warriors by the shortest of margins almost drawn by free throws after the final horn, but it wasn’t to be, Urchins get the W!
The Mortys got a good first ever win on the forever hustling Ken & Friends in a game that started close but ended one sided. Elliot B was unconscious and had no remorse for the defense piling in 14 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Luke M who ended up with an efficient 11 points to end his game which simply outscored the other teams leaders being, Trent F kept his average up there for the season with a nice 12 points to show hes got some skills to be respected. BJ Taco was feeling good with 9 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Kband Friends hungry but falling short this time as they play a team they didn t know who to watch, and took an L, a feisty game, a possible div2 rivalry in the making!

Mitch L also helped out in the win with 9 points to get over the line. simply out working the other scorers being, Ivan C couldnt miss much as he led his team with 19 point game to contribute to his teams effort. Jack C was feeling good with 8 points in the loss . Div 3 had its share of hectic games!
Orange Peelers faced off against the Average joes in a back and forth game holding the crowd in suspense Omar N had the license to shoot and put them up to end on 23 points to get over the line. . Mo Jnr focused on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 9 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Ian W let it fly and hit more than missed with 17 points on the sheet , Scott had his back with a 12 point game this time around. Orange Peelers raining 3s from the heavens as they had one of those nights where the ball just went in!, Av Joes finding their groove still but looking to mount a run soon…
Ryan & the Rats took the game second half from the Unanderra 26ers and was victorious this round, thanks to some players putting in work. Tye M in a great team effort, scored the same amount with 19 points to get over the line. . James 5 & Christian D played well as far as getting 5 points to get over the line. Despite a good effort by the other team as Harry S was heating up as he bagged 15 points recorded by the bench , Mark G pitched in to add to the score with, 6 points as he played his role well and got buckets. Rats get up and take down the 26ers using their outside inside attack, mainly outside and floaters but some nice teamwork on display, 26ers getting used to the swings and pace but look to start to find their rhythm coming in the next few games!
Flaming Anteeaters liked the matchup with The Rebounds and pushed it all the way to the end. James T was unconscious and had no remorse for the defense piling in 16 big ones to conclude the mission . Ryan G also helped out in the win with 14 points to his name as he helps lead the boys to a much needed win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Ethan T kept his eye on the hoop and ended up with 10 points, getting some fadeaways to fall to contribute to the result. , Josh V played well as far as getting 4 points to end his game . Anteaters taking down Rebounds and making sure they kept the lead, more attacking the glass and the paint from Anteaters stifled the Rebounds attempts despite a few good plays throughout the game, next time Team Rebound!
