Round 1 and a huge NEW season of UBL for WEdnesdays is upon us!!
Season 10, and teams have flocked to take on the teams starting their campaign again for a UBL title, and the crosshairs are on the UBL champions, formerly known as Hog HUnterz, now back to the business of keeping their streak. With just the tip taking Div 2 and naturally progressing to Div 1, the Div 2 crown is up for grabs, and Div1 was still looking for a way to beat Johnny and the rebbranded Grey Geese
The game of the round, Skyhookers vs Grey Geese, without the captain, Johnny M, the monster team looked tested slightly in teh first parts of the game, scores keeping close. But with turnovers and missed threes, Skyhookers engaged all pistons to fire from everywhere, Doug from Mid range, Dobbie on the 3s and DOnnie and Macca streaking the fast break…Matt S got 16, macca 13, Luke M managed 10 points ina dissapointing game which leaves the Grey Geese spewing they dropped a game, but now…ITS ON!! with Div 1 packed with great teams, more upsets could happen to anyone!! Great game by both teams, best game of the season so far!!
Dog City face off against old nemesis’ Hogz, and it was down to the wire, both teams missing a few ballers, the score was never skewed one side more than the other, each team looking for a go ahead unanswered bucket, and Bones stepped up late hitting a baseline jumper to pull ahead by 1….Dan W just unlucky on a slippery part of the ball on the last play, Aza P gets 23 points, but the combines Delo and Bubs, 21 and 19 respectively, outshone the Hogz this time.
