The GRAND FINALS is here!! The final 2 teams of each Div ready to go to war!
Div 2 started out with the 5th rank team vs the 6th rank team in what would be a great game starting out with the DJs Baller crew playing stifling D making it hard for Ball Sacks to get some good passes inside, they went back and forth but Djs kept their percentage up and the shots coming, keeping composed for the first half
At halftime Djs Ballers were in command of the game, a 30-14 lead going into the break, Daniel J came out strong with a perfect 4/4 game by the half for 9 points, Chris W starting to get it going with 8 and 6 rebounds, whilst the Sacks had Shane on 8 points to lead the way with the offensive boards in control by the Black team 13-3 but the shots werent falling yet (17% FG) vs DJs’ clean 50% FG% at the half, the 8 assists to 2 showing what kind of team game DJs brought. SAcks needed a quick run coming into the 2nd half and they were looking for a saviour, hopefully from 3 point land.
Daniel Sirro came out with 4 buckets to keep his streak including a 3 going keeping momentum with Ds Ballers he didnt miss a shot till the last minute of the 3rd. Ending with 27pts 10rebs on 86% shooting! an MVP performance helped out by Chris W on 16pts 11rebs & 6 assists, a truly amazing all round effort!
It was 42-27 going into the 4th with the numbers still staying consistent, DJs with 48FG% to 19% of the Sacks, although the rebounds were still in Sacks favor 35-21, but overall efficiency was 11-3 in favor of Djs who would open up the 4th playing the same way and the Ball Sacks did what they could as Shane dropped some big numbers 21 pts 14rebs 3 stls but that crazy effort wasn’t enough.
The story of the game was the FG% and rebounds, even the 11 rebs Darren pulled down helped then to a 45-34 winon the boards, the FG% was 54% to 24%, and overall 46%-22% which told the story of the game, the Ball Sacks missing some key pieces that wouldve given DJs Ballers a better run but DJs played the right way and resulted in a Div 2 championship! can they topple the big dawgs of Div1 next season? Great season from Ball Sacks, unlucky in the end against a great team of Ballers always displaying great sportsmanship. Epic D2 Finals!

First Quarter it was no advantage to either side, 17-16 warriors winning, shooting slightly better (57%-44%) the 2nd would start and it was much of the same, the officiating was tight with everything being called and the quarter was a grind in parts, both teams amazingly equaled FG% on 50% but Warriors shot 43% from 3 to 29% from Warriors.
Warriors doubled Thug Life in assits(6-3) and Defensive rebounds(13-6). James Q with 15 points 3 assists and Dave L on 7 to go against Lachys 13 including am amazing beyond half court buzzer beater to answer back J Quinns 30 footer to close the half, Patty was a beast on the offensive glass with 6 and 7 points too.
The 2nd half started 50-50 with 1:15 left Dave L steal with 1 min left hit 1 free throws then another steal and another free throw to get up by 2, then another steal with 50 secs left then an offensive rebound, Cal got fouled and hit 1, the rest was history the end score 57-50, Warriors win, back to back!
Top Performers for this Finals Game for Thug Life was James Quinn in an MVP performance, 22 points 7rebs and 4 assists on 55% shooting, great numbers and the glue that brought the warriors together like last season, Richie W got 9 rebounds and Del 7
Thug Life has some sparks going with Lachy on a solid 16 points on 50% Field goal percentage Jeremey Q on 9 points 8 rebounds, but the shots werent falling like they used to and the Warriors pushed for alot more inside shots creating fouls and free throws, the 10% gap in total FG% and the extra free throws won it for them otherwise efficiency was even, rebounds close, turnovers cancelled out, but the 21% 3 point percentage told the tale, old school ball winning this time as WArriors surprise Thug LIfe again, the rivalry continues!
