UBL MONDAYs Playoffs action straight outa Berkeley hitting the channel S7 SEMI FINALS hustle heats up as the remaining 4 in each division face off to see whos going to the Grand Finals! Who has their game plan perfected? and who copped and L and goes home early?
Div 1 had 2 games on the cards and this was going to be a do or die decider to see who would meet up in the Grand Finals to see who is the Most dominant team this season! Can anyone take down the defending champs Shaqtn a Fools this season? We will soon find out!
1st ranked Shaqtin’ a Fools started strong and got the jump on 4th place Dellys Disciples , who underestimated the accuracy of their opponent and copped a loss for it Elliot J couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 42 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Jack H slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 14 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Toby S weaved through the zone D with some nice footwork finishing on 22 points but a loss unfortunately , Griffin S Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 20 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Shaqtin’ a Fools having a rest last week as the 1st ranker this season for Div 1, and the Dellys Disciples crew were looking to upset their hopes of a back to back title. But from the get go, Shaqtin’ a Fools were on the ball, putting in work on the mid range, starting to get Elliot warmed up for what would be a huge night in scoring for him, too big for Dellys Disciples to catch up to. Jack H was key in the win too with some big plays to keep the momentum. Dellys Disciples werwe treated to a big crowd on their side with every shot getting a huge uproar which looked to fuel the Dellys to catch up. Toby was great from all spots and hit his shots, and Griffin was big from downtown hitting 4 threes, but Shaqtin’ a Fools were too good too early and the gap was too much and Dellys Disciples go home after a pretty good regular season considering some roster changes! Shaqtin’ a Fools on the way to the finals again to try and get the back to back title dreams into focus!
3rd place Wasted Potential had its work cut out against 2nd ranked Bone Collectors in a grind of a game coming right down to the last few minutes to decide the winner. Ziv Z beasted hard this game finishing on a great 23 points to get over the line. . Dan B pitched in to add to the score with, 14 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Jerome T put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 27 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Ivan slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 14 points but a loss unfortunately . Wasted Potential were locked in this game as they got their game plan executed well against Bone Collectors . Jerome and Ivan were instrumental in keeping the game close with Wasted Potential combining for 41 points but still had the task of overcoming the halftime lead of 5 points, nothing to those elite shooters. But Wasted Potential weren’t letting down all game with Ziv pushing the break and using some creative footwork to get some stepbacks and create his own shots, banging them in. Dan B used his ambidextrous skills to own the lanes and slot in some 3s too which was just too much for Bone Collectors who would simply not be collecting any bones this game as they go home early after a great season finishing 2nd! Wasted Potential with the task of taking down Shaqtn a Fools in the Grand Finals!
Div 2 had one more game to decide who would face the Bandicoots in the final game to crown the Division 2 title winner for this season! Win or Go home!
2nd ranked Double Dribble took the game second half from the 3rd ranked Cream City in a loud and hectic game keeping refs active and players tense. Shane S was stroking it with ease from all parts of the arc. 14 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Eddie L pushed the fast break and trasnsition offense resulting in 13 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Taco J couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 18 points but a loss unfortunately , Aidan E going to work down low in the blender. 13 points as he pitched in to add to the score. . Double Dribble had faced Cream City before and the difference this time was the playoffs, with regular season performers playing a little differently and pushing it harder to get to the next level. BJ Taco was on fire with his midrange game unstoppable getting bucket after bucket keeping it close only 2 points down by the half. With the driving the lane not going well for Cream City , Aidan helped a bunch by scraping up a lot of quick short apsses to get some easy layups to go down. Double Dribble used their 3 ball to get things going with Shayne S getting ghis eye locked in early and hitting some big shots, and Eddie L with some strong moves on the fast break and hitting his shot too getting Double Dribble to the next step. Double Dribbles 2nd Grand Finals appearance hoping to get it done this time around! Cream City go home early after a great season in a very stacked Div. falling short in the Semis after a valiant effort!
Division 3 is stacked with teams and its come down to the final 4. With the skill elvel very close, it made for great games with some solid moments!

Pranav channelled Kobe and wanted the win this time, getting 15 big ones to conlclude the mission . Sam B 13 & Ivan C slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 13 points on the sheet which simply outscored the other teams leaders being, Zac S couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 35 points recorded by the bench , Adian E played well as far as getting 6 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Dunkings looking to back up their championship last season with another on this season but had one hurdle to jump, Miami Yeet who were big time in the Quarter Finals upsetting the higher ranked Orange Peelers. Miami Yeet had their main man Zac step up again getting his step back 3 to work wonders in the first half, hitting 8 threes total in the game and getting what he wanted when he went inside. But this time is wasn’t enough as the Miami Yeet first half 5 points lead was slowly taken down bit by bit by a big half by Pranav who got 12 points in the half after Ivan hit 3 quick threes to start off the comeback win. With the score going back and forth, it wasn’t till the final minutes when Sam hit a three and then Jackson hitting dagger that put the game out of reach, giving Dunkings the win and advancement to the Grand Finals again! In a low scoring highly defensive game, the L.A ICONS just crept ahead by too much in the first half, enough to withstand Pandemic Ps outscoring them by 6 in the half. LA Icons do to the Grand Finals against Dunkings in what will be a graet game to decide who wins the Div3 title for Season 7!
