Division 1 is set! The elite of Mondays clash this week for the first round and a chance to get their streaks going!
Shaqtin' a Fools started strong and got the jump on Wasted Potential and set the tone from the start, big mentions to the performers in this game. Elliot J couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 26 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Lach CR 21 & Jack H weaved through the zone D with some nice footwork finishing on 19 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Mitch F getting stats from everywhere including 16 points on the sheet , Darcy R was heating up as he bagged 15 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Grand Finals rematch! And it went a little differently! Wasted Potential taking a few moments to get warmed up, but by that time, Shaqtn were rolling, with the 3 headed attack of Lach, Jack and the Division leading scorer Elliot J getting the job done against their rivals. Great matchup, Jet hit big 3s at the start, but it was all Shaqtn from then for the statement win.
Bone Collectors shot the lights out against a helpless Benders and hustled harder getting the W. Jerome T got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 20 points to shut the defense down. . Tim S was stroking it with ease from all parts of the arc. 16 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Dan W finished the game with a commendable 11 points recorded by the bench , Jasper going to work down low in the blender. 10 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Bone Collectors kept up their attack from the outside and midrange which was working well, Benders tried the same approach but ended up dumping the ball to the post where Jasper was met with some big time D limiting that tactic. Jerome T was shooting well from his spots causing problems for the zone D. Benders went down this time and BC get their first win of the season!
Dellys Disciples got a good first ever win on the forever hustling The Whoopsy Fudge Stripes in this round which would result in a great match. Jack M let it fly and hit more than missed with 12 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Zac S was shooting well from deep with 9 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Paul R couldnt miss much as he led his team with 11 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Hamish S got to good spots on the court and shot well with 9 points on the sheet . Dellys Disciples meet this team for the first time who were champions of Div2 Tuesdays. Whoopsy Fudge Stripes cop a loss in their first game, but this team can hustle and out run many teams, and they pressed full court at times, making the Dellys Disciples guards take extra care of the ball. The inside outside attack from Dellys won the day, more rebs got more buckets!
Div 2 is stacked with talent and some teams that could shake up the rankings all season!
Pandemic Ps grinded out a win in back and forth match vs Double Dribble and was victorious this round, thanks to some players putting in work. Mitch B couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 31 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Ryan S finished the game with a commendable 12 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Shane S just too much experience shooting the 3 with 13 points but a loss unfortunately , Jayke Z was heating up as he bagged 6 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Pandemic Ps did a good job this game containing the usual barrage of 3s from Double Dribble who were putting the ball on the floor and creating some offense in the paint this game. Double Dribble sticking to their game and kept the score close, but by the end the score was in favor of the Pandemic Ps. A pretty even match that could creat a rivalry in the division!
Foy Boys needed someone to step up and hit the game winner against Dunkings and luckily scraped up a solid close out victory Elliot B Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 18 points to get over the line. . Michael F got to good spots on the court and shot well with 15 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Ivan C beasted hard this game finishing on a great 22 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Sam B points from slashing and finding the gaps in the zone D. 10 points but a loss unfortunately . Foy Boys kept their attack up all game, the outside shots were falling and Dunkings were mixing it up with some slashing, cutting and some 3s of their own, making for a tight game. Foy Boys had the possession with 10 seconds left, 43 point each was the score. Elliot B dribbled around up top, drained the clock, went into his step back 3 move, the stadium went silent, Elliot loudly called “Game” and the ball swished through the net like a Paul Pierce buzzer beater! And it was Game! Dunkings stunned as Foy Boys steal this one on a huuuuge shot!
Cream City wins a resounding victory over the unlucky Gong Heavy and pushed it all the way to the end. Tom couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 28 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Trent was shooting well from deep with 16 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Doug C was heating up as he bagged 8 points but a loss unfortunately . Cream City were looking to get a run in, and they ran hard! With some old faces back in the mix, they were able to combine their efforts and put up some big plays and a big lead by the end. Gong Heavy weren’t able to stop their momentum and did what they could to keep up the scoring, but Cream City were too experienced to let them in the game and took this one as a W. Tom was doing his best Professor Live impression with some tasty step backs and floaters all game. Trent got back in the big with a great game too as they get their first win of the season!
Buckled knees Traded buckets most game, but kept a nice buffer all game to close it out vs The Bandicoots in a game that started close but ended one sided. Luke getting stats from everywhere including 12 big ones to conclude the mission . Mitch R finished the game with a commendable 10 points on the sheet which simply outscored the other teams leaders being, Gurn scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 12 points recorded by the bench , Bodhi pitched in to add to the score with, 7 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Buckled knees were ready to go and take on a new challenger, this time against The Bandicoots who knew what they had to do, but didn’t have the personnel to do it this time around moreso on the defensive end, letting Buckled knees get their threes and execute the fast break effectively. Buckled Knees win!
Division 3, the biggest division on mondays, started with a bunch of great matchups, some never seen before!
Air Ballers wins a resounding victory over the unlucky Raining 3s in a game that had the winners go on scoring runs that werent answered in time. Sam T pushed the fast break and trasnsition offense resulting in 8 points to ensure they get the win this round. Brayden S had a pretty good game scoring wise with 6 points to get over the line. simply out working the other scorers being, Jarrod B couldnt miss much as he led his team with 10 points in this game. , Air Ballers back for more as the loudest hype team in the League and that energy is flowing through to their games as the Air Ballers get their first win of the season against Raining 3s who just entered the league and will take a few rounds to suss out the other teams before they dominate. Raining 3s had Jarrod get a good run in leading his team in scoring, but the Airballers were too good this time, their offseason training paying off!
Sweeet Azz had its sights set on Bank Shootaz in a clinic, taking advantage of lesser defensive matchup. Ash couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 26 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Kyle8 & Michael focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 6 points in the big dominating victory. combining for a a good total to out do the eventual defeated, whos scorers were; Nathan R felt it was time to step up and got 20 points but a loss unfortunately , Jasper 4 & Neil R kept his eye on the hoop and ended up with 4 points worth of buckets in the loss.. . Sweeet Azz look scary! Scary good! As they took down the Bank Shootaz who have been shooting well since last week, Nathan R with a super efficient game getting bucket after bucket, but Sweeet Azz had their own phenom, Ash, who dropped 26 and threw down a huge dunk in traffic. The sky is the limit for this team. Bank Shootaz were the first witnesses!
L.A ICONS wins a resounding victory over the unlucky Average Joes in a physical matchup that will set the tone for next time. Sam H channelled Kobe and wanted the win this time, getting 25 points worth of buckets in the win. . Dan M had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 9 point performance. simply taking over and stifling most of their scorers expect for, Dan B finished the game with a commendable 10 points recorded by the bench , AJ Dalisay9 & Jerry ended up with an efficient 8 points but a loss unfortunately . L.A ICONS still getting their squad together to establish a starting 5 that works well, the Average Joes were doing well most game till Sam H started getting his stroke going, and it wasn’t stopping, outscoring and leading ICONS to the win this time. Dan B was hitting the mid range, but it wasn’t enough to stop the scoring runs this game and Average Joes copped an L.
