Div 1 had a good set of matchups, some catch up games which tested one team who got a slow start, check out whos starting up a win streak!
Bone Collectors werent going to stand down against Dellys Disciples in this round which would result in a great match. Tim S channelled Kobe and wanted the win this time, getting 16 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Jerome T had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 14 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Haydin K just too much experience shooting the 3 with 14 points on the sheet , Zac S slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 11 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Bone Collectors look good out the gates with Dellys Disciples going some damage on the outside and driving, putting the Bone Collectors into a zone which gave them a few more stops and more chances to score this time, Tim S was banging in 3s and JT from the midrange. on Dellys Disciples, the 3s were falling for Haydin and Zac but they needed more stops of their own to get back into this one.
Wasted Potential went back and forth but held the lead most of the game against The Whoopsy Fudge Stripes in a game that started close but ended one sided. Darcy R got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 18 points to shut the defense down. . Daniel B owning the glass and taking names in the post with 16 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Darcy H was heating up as he bagged 13 points recorded by the bench , Liam C 10 & Paul R got to good spots on the court and shot well with 10 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Wasted Potential meeting this team for the first time, and they went about it like they usually do, the champs taking this win away from Whoopsy Fudge Stripes who are yet to get a W in 2 round, but its always a tough matchup against Wasted Potential. Whoopsy Fudge Stripes did well to keep the score close, but not enough for a W.
Shaqtin' a Fools took the game second half from the Benders and set the tone from the start, big mentions to the performers in this game. Elliot J couldnt miss much as he led his team with 22 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Lach CR weaved through the zone D with some nice footwork finishing on 17 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Jasper going to work down low in the blender. 18 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Simon K 9 & Dan W had a pretty good game scoring wise with 9 points on the sheet . Shaqtin' a Fools looking to get their streak extended, and they did this time against Benders who were pushing the ball into the post and making the Shaqtin' a Fools bigs work hard to stop Jasper in the middle. Elliot was all over the place and getting buckets with ease whilst Lach CR was able to convert some mid range and drives to extend the lead, but only won by 4!
Div 2 had some games that started close, but ended with one team chasing the lead and the eventual winners the team that led at the half…
Double Dribble ,right out of the gates, jumped on the Cream City and put up alot of unanswered buckets to mount up the lead and the win. Jayke Z with an epic performance and great score of 16 points in the big dominating victory. . Eddie L finished the game with a commendable 10 points to get over the line. but on the other side Tom getting stats from everywhere including 12 points as he was operating in automatic mode , Taco J kept his eye on the hoop and ended up with 10 points in the matchup that couldve gone either way. . Double Dribble were simply on fire and outclassed Cream City this time. The break was open and so was the bank, as Double Dribble got out running and put up many unanswered buckets even though Cream City had some great scoring runs. The bleeding didn’t stop and Cream City take this one as an L despite Toms shooting on the outside and BJs mid range accuracy .
Pandemic Ps Traded buckets most game, but kept a nice buffer all game to close it out vs Dunkings in a game that started close but ended one sided. Mitch B couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 19 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Dave G finished the game with a commendable 11 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Jacob G beasted hard this game finishing on a great 19 points but a loss unfortunately , Ivan C was heating up as he bagged 15 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Pandemic Ps looking good lately and they hadnled this one well from the start, but not easily! Dunkings had their usual scorers get some work done, and some huge defensive plays from Dunkings also helped, but in the end it was Pandemic Ps 11+ and Dunkings go back to the game footage to see what went wrong!
Foy Boys started strong and got the jump on Buckled knees in a physical matchup that will set the tone for next time. Michael F beasted hard this game finishing on a great 14 points to get over the line. . Ryan S was unconscious and had no remorse for the defense piling in 14 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Scotty M scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 10 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , Dave G pitched in to add to the score with, 7 points but a loss unfortunately . Foy Boys and Buckled knees have never faced, and this time it was on! Buckled knees playing their usual in your face defense ruffling feathers and taking their opponenets out of their game. But Foy Boys weren’t perturbed, they kept pushing it despite the physicality and ended up with a bigger total score than Buckled knees. Michael and Ryan the 2 pronged attack combing for 28 points to lead the charge, Scotty and Dave did their best to keep things close but it wasn’t a day for Buckled knees, taking the L this round.
Div 3 is staaaacked, and the teams are old and new looking for ways to beat each other, the first few weeks the results may vary, but once everyone gets rolling… Its going to be all out in Div 3!
Sweeet Azz gets the W in a much needed and hard fought versus Raining 3s couldnt stop the unselfish offense they were faced with this game. Ash got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 9 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Mana had a pretty good game scoring wise with 6 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Jordan H was heating up as he bagged 5 points but a loss unfortunately , Cody, Chris & Jarrod ended up with an efficient 4ea points as he pitched in to add to the score. . Sweeet Azz get another win and do it with class! They ran the break and passed well, getting boards and helping out to cover the Raining 3s shooters, who weren’t hitting the mark this time, but they know what Sweeet Azz can do now, with Ash leading the last 2 weeks in scoring for his team, and the support crew putting in work… itl be a close match next time!
Penetrators wins a resounding victory over the unlucky L.A ICONS and set the tone from the start, big mentions to the performers in this game. Jordan H heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 22 big ones to conlclude the mission . Patrick O getting stats from everywhere including 16 points on the sheet which simply outscored the other teams leaders being, Sam H slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 17 points recorded by the bench , Dimitri S pitched in to add to the score with, 6 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Penetrators were out for blood, and out for buckets, and out to get a W, and out of Div 3!!! L.A ICONS weren’t sure what to do as they were hit with a bunch of fast breaks that took the air out of the building. The Penetrators take this one hands down and look to new challenges in the coming weeks, LA Icons take the loss this game, but only in principle. Sam H was super accurate and did his best to keep the team in, but Jordan H got 22 and Patrick O a cool 16, too much for L.A ICONS this time!
Orange Peelers ,right out of the gates, jumped on the Gong Heavy in a game that had the winners go on scoring runs that werent answered in time. Amura J was stroking it with ease from all parts of the arc. 24 points to ensure they get the win this round. Bilal M had a pretty good game scoring wise with 9 points to get over the line. simply out working the other scorers being, Ali M couldnt miss much as he led his team with 12 points in this game. , Dan H 11 & Doug C ended up with an efficient 11 points in the loss . Orange Peelers are an establishment in Div 3 and welcomed Gong Heavy with a loss as they start their campaign to figure out the Div3 teams and use their many pieces to take them down! Orange Peelers weren’t allowing it this time and put Amura J to work on the arc…hitting some big threes and layups in the game giving his team the gap in score they need to secure the W. Gong Heavy saw Ali M back to the court and putting the ball in, but they needed another big night from the boys to step up but it wasn’t happening this time!
Average Joes had its sights set on Bank Shootaz and it went to plan as they got a W on the backs of their scorers. Max led all scorers on a solid 24 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Dan B focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 21 points in the big dominating victory. combining for a a good total to out do the eventual defeated, whos scorers were; Nathan R played well as far as getting 10 points but a loss unfortunately , Neil R kept his eye on the hoop and ended up with 7 points worth of buckets in the loss.. . Average Joes putting in some work and getting a big total on Bank Shootaz who were just a little undersized compared to Average Joes who take this win on the back of some bg finishes from Max, and Dan W lighting up the paint with fadeaways! Ban Shootaz are hot and cold lately, this time Nathan scored well again but Av Joes held momentum thoguhtout the game and kept it will the bell rang a big “W”!
Air Ballers wins a resounding victory over the unlucky Bandicoots in a game that started close but ended one sided. Ethan L channelled Kobe and wanted the win this time, getting 12 points worth of buckets in the win. . Brayden S had his back with a 4 point performance. simply taking over and stifling most of their scorers expect for, James C put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 15 points recorded by the bench , Scott P ended up with an efficient 3 points but a loss unfortunately . Air Ballers thought that its time to step up and get busy! The Bandicoots jumping into a Div with some teams that can bal and are hungry for Ws. Air Ballers is one of those teams and was able to get their first ever win on Bandicoots. James M was carrying the team on his huge shoulders as he got team high 15, but Ethan L was going to keep getting buckets and did so to almost get within firing range, but it wasn’t to be. Great game but the winner this time is AirBAllers!
