ROund 18!! The last round of the regular season! DOUBLE POINTS round with one last push to get into a good rank for the contenders, but for some its win or end the season this round. Haz Beanz stay undefeated in Div 1! Oubres take 1st in Div 2! Whos in playoff form and ready to take on the post season?
Div 1 competition was super close this season, mainly in the 2nd rank where TTMB and Mudflaps ended up on the same points and the bottom of the ladder were only separated by 1 point. The Haz Beanz took top spot honours, with the top 4 going through to the Semis!
Haz Beanz wins a resounding victory over the unlucky Towradgi Rattlesnakes in a game that started close but ended one sided. Elliot J put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 24 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Corey J Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 14 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Jack C let it fly and hit more than missed with 16 points on the sheet , Jackson 14 & Lachlan W pitched in to add to the score with, 12 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Haz Beanz have ben on fire this season and have backed up their champion ship last year with an undefeated run this regular season taking the top rank by far. Haz Beanz came out strong in this game, putting in some work early to get the lead up, Elliot leading the charge again as The Joneses turned into 1 game splash brothers, top scoring and keeping Rattlesnakes chasing them on the break. Rattlesnakes did well to land some threes that threatened single digits but Haz Beanz just came back harder and got the win this time. Great season to Rattlesnakes who were only 1 point away from a playoff spot! Haz Beanz go through to the Semis to play Miami Vice!
#talktomebro just able to get the win by a bucket or so vs Miami Vice , who underestimated the hustle of their opponent and copped a loss for it Jed P couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 35 points to shut the defense down. . Connor HG pushed the fast break and trasnsition offense resulting in 7 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Sam M getting stats from everywhere including 21 points recorded by the bench , Dan B 20 & Seth slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 16 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . #talktomebro taking the slight lead at the half pushing the ball up court hitting the breakhard to try creep ahead of the Sam M led Vice who were getting their work done inside the paint, clearly outrebounding #talktomebro which didn’t matter as Jed P was having a ripper of a game, hitting floater after floater and even a three or two tossed in to show the deep bag of tricks that dominated this game to give #talktomebro the official 2nd rank due to their win % as they were deadlocked with Mudflaps in 2nd. Vice end up in 4th, the last playoff qualification spot and will tak eon Haz Beanz in the Semis.
Div 2 ballin heated up this round as they teams all put in extra work for the extra ladder points! With the top spot on the line, the 3rd and 4th also in contest, the top 8 make the playoffs, but its all about the rank and how easy that run to the finals will be! Oubres take out the division and stay champions in the regular season. But playoffs is next week, ANYTHING can happen!
The Oubres grinded out a win in back and forth match vs Sneaky Prawns in a back and forth game holding the crowd in suspense Jesse O was unconscious and had no remorse for the defense piling in 19 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Cooper W just too much experience shooting the 3 with 13 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Karl P let it fly and hit more than missed with 12 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Sam played well as far as getting 11 points on the sheet . .Sneaky Prawns end their 5 game win streak with this unlucky loss against the top team! The Oubres wearing their throwback jerseys came out like a plague on the Sneaky Prawns defense. Jesse O doing his work on the inside this time, hammering them with some inside moves that left the zone D not as strong at times. The Oubres had their shooters going, Cooper nailing crucial ones as the Oubres took thit last round and end their regular season on a 3 game winning streak but tied with CBT for the 1st spot. It came down to win% and Oubres edged them out by 3 wins! Sneaky Prawns were doing well this season but have taken a snide last bunch of game but end on a solid 5th spot going into the playoffs!
The Klaws took the game second half from the Flying Yellow Cats and pushed it all the way to the end. Asif M slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 15 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. . Nick T 12 & Muhammad also helped out in the win with 11 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Kelsen L was stroking it with ease from all parts of the arc. 15 points but a loss unfortunately , Peter Y was heating up as he bagged 13 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . The Klaws bring their game every week and this time they had a Center running point, and it worked well, as Ramtin rammed in some dimes feeding the hungry Klaws guards and forwards so they could get some buckets, and it worked as they take the win from Flying Yellow Cats. Flying Yellow Cats were shooting well then went streaky for a patch which allowed The Klaws to take advantage and steal the win and the 4th spot this season! CBT started strong and got the jump on AGENTS and put up alot of unanswered buckets to mount up the lead and the win. Todd & T-Jay threw in together to combine scores to total est 25 comb points to get over the line. . CBT have been killin it, the twins have been going off, Emre and Luka have been putting in work on put backs and baseline cuts and the equal 1st record shows what hard work gets you! CBT able to get this one in the bag earlier in the game as they took the score into their favor and protected it agains thte AGENTS offesnse which was showing signs of a comeback in moments. But CBT has other ideas and knew they needed to win this one to contest for 1st rank. They just lost out on their win% which notched them 2nd spot. AGENTS looked to be improving but has ended the season on a 5 game slide and 7th spot which can only turn around when Playoff Powered Agents steps on the scene!

Lach M 15 & Mark M pitched in to add to the score with, 12 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Curt had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 21 points but a loss unfortunately , Carlson got to good spots on the court and shot well with 15 points as he pitched in to add to the score. . .GongStars snap their 3 game slide with this solid win jjus tin time for playoffs and double points! Gongstar have been up and down from the 1st rank all season, they settle into tte 3rd spot after Nuggets pushed them to their limits in the first half. Nuggets had some wearpons and Curt was getting to the rim at will and feeding his team mates on the break. Gongstar had Alex go Beast mode inside putting mback misses and getting a double double this game with some monster boards. Nuggets land in 6th spot and Gongstar are in 3rd place wto finish the regular season!
