This time around we had a new opponent for Haz Beanz in the Grand Finals. The crowd was ready for a good game, and with a high calibre UBL hall of fame player Daz providing motivation for his former squad, it was going to be a solid game to come. The younger hungrier Bisons would need to step up to get this one!
1st quarter started And neither team seem to be getting momentum but the shooters from Bisons didn't waste any time hitting 4 3 pointers in the period versus the 1 from Haz Beanz... But that was because the activity from them was inside as they got into the teeth of the zone finding the cutter at the right spot to school but after 12 minutes the Bisons were up by two points making it anyone's game for now... Both teams shooting around 45% and all other categories pretty even...Elliot J started off well as always with eight points and was helped out by fellow sniper Joe P He was camping on the mid-range and hitting his looks as well as Brook putting in five..Nick G went to work immediately as he got six in the quarter and big man Joe also got buckets inside for six and with Steve M hitting one inside and one outside they were in a good position to keep things going..
2nd quarter Saw Bisons play hard and lead with 3 minutes left in the 1stt half, by 7 points, 21-14.... then the Haz Beanz open up the scoring a little bit as Elliot was hungry and piled in the points getting 13 in this quarter to take the lead with an eight point advantage after this quarter as they shot a slightly better percentage by 10% but most other categories still even the only difference was the shooters from Haz Beanz my hitting their open shots which look good going into the third quarter...
3rd quarter Bisons had some work to do and made some scoring runs through Nick G and Lachlan E Who had nine in the game so far going perfect from two point distance but even with some extra buckets from Tom S and Jes S They were still in a 7-point hole that they needed to recover from in the 4th quarter..Elliot J still unstoppable this quarter putting in another 10 points and he was helped out inside with a combined 10 points so far from Andy and Anesu... Both teams pretty much equal this quarter scoring wise, Bisons got up 1 point but still trailed...
4th quarter, and in the last 12 minutes, Saw both teams continue the same pace but even though Scorgasms made a few inroads and scored well with some drives from Nick and a couple of tough shots inside from Jed...Elliot J able to add to his total by 14 points this quarter spear heading the offence and getting 5 points out of Andy K inside, There was no answer for everyone getting buckets from their team and Scorgasms, fortunately ran out of time as the final buzzer sounded with the deficit at 20 points...Haz Beanz able to outlast their opponent after being down in the first half...
Top Performers this game from Haz Beanz , Elliot J with a MVP finals performance of 45points on 50% shooting with 11 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks and assist, an epic all round game to bring his team the chip! Joe P put in some sniuper work from midrange and 3 to get 11 and Andy K hit 10 points on 50% shooting to go with 9 from Anesu inside the paint. ...
And a great effort put in by the players on Bisons .... Nick G on 17 points, 10 rebounds, a big time double double to help his team stay in it and play well in the first half...Jed S was on 10 points and 6 rebs with 71% true shooting percentage and joe almost had a double double with 8points and 10 rebounds!
Bisons Had a great season after the merger but unfortunately go home empty-handed despite having a sniff of the lead at the start of the game... They look to come back stronger next season knowing they can make it all the way and take on the top teams...
Haz Beanz complete the three-peat and stand as champions amongst a solid division of tough teams this season... Can they back it up again against new teams and new challenges in New year?

1st quarter started And the difference in play was evident as the Oubres got busy immediately finding their shooters and cutters on the inside..Jesse went perfect this quarter with six points from inside and TJ V started warming his shot up already heading to three pointers and two inside for 10 points so far and Haruta and Danilo combining for 10 points they enjoyed a 16 point lead at the quarter to spite some resistance from the other team as Casper was able to top school with six and he was helped out by the big man inside Jack N Who usually starts off slowly and finishes strong in next quarter They would need to step it up to cover the gap if No net November have a chance of making a comeback...
2nd quarter The Oubres kept up the scoring and made a little improvement on their lead getting 9 points more from Jesse and another five Danilo, But the breakout was TJ who piled in 9 points for the quarter as they were up by 25 going into the third quarter..No net November had Jack N step up his game and push the ball inside getting 15 in the game so far shooting 60% but even with a few buckets from Harry W and Matt K , The lead was still a gap that would take a miracle to cover going into the third quarter... Oubres shooting 50% from the field so far which was 18% more No Net But the rebounds was the big deficit with 13 rebounds between them showing the activity on help rebounds from Oubres
3rd quarter Played out much the same as the pace state constant for both teams who were taking what the defence gave them..No Net November had Casper get six this quarter and Matt K throw in five points as well but they were out scored again this quarter by 17 points as Jesse and TJ kept attacking...TJ V was on fire this quarter and put in five from downtown blowing the lead out as he put in 15 points in 12 minutes to bring his total up to 34..Danilo stepped up to as he put in nine for the quarter shooting 54% still along with his seven rebounds...
4th quarter, and in the last 12 minutes, There was a final effort by No Net November to try and come back and they actually outscored the Oubres 37 to 25 but the damage was done earlier and with only 12 minutes of this epic run they needed possibly another 12 minutes to complete the comeback, The time was not on their side and the final was sounded with Oubres up by a lot in this dominating victory as they got everyone involved helping out on defence and offence too..
Top Performers this game from The Oubres TJ Vokuvcan with a HUGE 39 point MVP performance hitting 10 three pointers 8 assists and 6 rebounds on 45% shooting! Danilo L notched 25points and 9rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals on 47% shooting! and Jesse played hard through injury with 18points and 9 rebs. Haruta put in a double digit effort with 14 points!. ...
And a great effort put in by the players on No Net November ....Jack Noli taking High scorer of the game honours with 41 points and 10 rebounds, a solid double-double shooting 51% from the field. He was supported by Casper L on 16 and 9 rebounds, 3 steals! Matt K getting double digits with 13 points and a huge effort on boards from Jack C with a Rodman like 17 rebounds!
No Net November had a great season and finished mid ladder but unfortunately go home empty-handed in this grand finals taking on a super tough matchup but they put in a great effort especially in the fourth quarter to try and keep the game respectable but they hold their heads high knowing what they need to do next year to win...
The Oubres I've played their game all season and this tight knit band of brothers was able to pull off what they needed to accomplish with the leadership of their interim head coach Lach P! They look to back up there championship win next season knowing they have the formula to get the job done!
