5th ranked The Birchos took the game second half from the 4th seed Rogues and went back to the locker room with a solid Win. Tim W couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 21 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Lloyd S 9 & Adam L pitched in to add to the score with, 8 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Jake just too much experience around the paint getting 20 points on the sheet , Sam M got a few buckets to go helping out the team with 11 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Birchos weren’t able to get the job done last season, but this looks like they are mega hungry to get this one under their belt, and they put up some big time hustle on defense getting in foul trouble early and making the game physical which Rogues gave straight back to them making for a hectic match keeping everyone on edge…. Birchos were grooving with their passing game on point and finding each other inside for some easy points. Rogues were doing their thing from inside pushing the ball to Jake who was taking care of the post on offense, but the shooters weren’t firing and the shots weren’t falling most game for Rogues, overwhelmed by the full court press at times giving up some crucial possessions to the Birchos who advance to the Semi Finals after this hard fought match. Rogues go home early after a great season putting up great games against the big teams. Better luck next season which is just around the corner!
6th place during the season, More Buckets started strong and got the jump on 3rd ranked Figtree Cannons who werent ready for them this game. Mitchell L 20 & Doug D put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 20 points to shut the defense down. . Jack T weaved through the zone D with some nice footwork finishing on 16 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Dylan T scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 10 points recorded by the bench , Scott D had a pretty good game scoring wise with 9 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . More Buckets making their splash on the div in the palyoffs as they seemed to all have found some big time confidence especially from down town. Figtree Cannons shook from the start as they tried to quickly readjust to the running game that More Buckets had chosen to go with. The pace and momentum hard to obtain for Figtree Cannons despite some great work inside the arc by Dylan and Scott provided some fast break and put backs to help out, but this wasn’t enough. After a pretty good season, Figtree Cannons go home early to rebuild and restrategize for the next season, leaving More Buckets to head to the Semis, 1 step away from the Grand finals!
