Ingles Angels started strong and got the jump on Buckled Knees undermanned but pumped up for the challenge. Brandon heat checked after hitting afew shots and kept going, owning this game with a great 25 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Jake T had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 8 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Mitch R was heating up as he bagged 7 points on the sheet , Dave G ended up with an efficient 5 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. This game didn’t start like normal games for Buckled knees, the top rank putting up their best plays to try and hit some open shots, but he 3 ball wasn’t banging in this game, and Ingles Angels took advantage pushing the ball on the break and into the paint for the higher percentage shots. This did the trick and the Angels took the win and 5th rank to finish this season. The Buckled Knees take out the top spot for the regular season and look good going into the playoffs, getting all the bad shots out of the way in this match!
Shellharbour Havaliers gets the W in a much needed and hard fought versus Figtree Cannons in a back and forth game holding the crowd in suspense Levi R got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 19 points to shut the defense down. . Matt C started scoring later in the game but ended up on 10 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Nathan C getting stats from everywhere including 13 points recorded by the bench , Cam S felt it was time to step up and got 11 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Havaliers with the late run for the season and winning when it counts. This time they juuuust got the win by a big shot by Matt C to pull ahead by 1. The cannons had many chances to get the lead back or draw it up, but they pulled a 1995 Nick Anderson at the free throw line and their double points dreams were over. Figtree Cannons take the 8th spot but can step up with a full squad in the quarters. Havaliers get the double points win and end in 6th spot for the season!
The Birchos shot the lights out against a helpless Get to the Chopper in a game that had the winners go on scoring runs that werent answered in time. Luke M put in some big numbers and got the game high in points notching an impressive 17 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Jackson L had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 8 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Chris O just too much experience shooting the 3 with 16 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Edward was heating up as he bagged 10 points on the sheet . Birchos coming up big in the last part of the season taking control by charge with a 7 game winning streak and a 5th rank to finish up. Get to the chopper did well to try and keep things close, but Birchos outrebounded them inside giving them the edge but Choppers finish in 7th keen to try their luck in the playoffs to surprise the critics!
GLobo Gym miss out on this round but end up in 3rd spot for the season after riding the top ranks for most season. Dream Team also did well to finish just below in 4th with some crucial games won under their belt this season. Watch out for both of these teams next week in the playoffs!
