The Birchos were pumped to be playing Figtree Cannons who werent ready for them this game. Toby W was unconscious and had no remorse for the defense piling in 8 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Luke M 7 & Liam F played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 7 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, James B beasted hard this game finishing on a great 7 points on the sheet , Tom S pulling in much needed offensive rebounds as well as 5 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Figtree Cannons and The Birchos just got off to a slow start as both sides scrapping for everything and playing a hectic amount of D. Second half saw The Birchos get off to a flying start as they pushed the ball inside to their big man to go to work on the shorter defensive line from the Cannons. the birds got up in the end getting some extra passes into the right spots and scrapping for offensive rebounds eventually getting them the win… Cannons are in fourth place and The Birchos jump up to equal 5th
Dream Team shot the lights out against a helpless Get to the Chopper in a game that started close but ended one sided. Snowy O couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 31 points to shut the defense down. . Jasper P pulling up Js from the around the paint and beyond resulting in 15 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Trent F scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 17 points recorded by the bench , Ken N finished the game with a commendable 13 points helping out with the teams offensive load. Get to the Chopper did well in the first half against dream team couldn’t get it going from their Bigs this game but had it more than going on from the three-point area and from the mid range and with the chopper boys not able to get a hand up quick enough to stop the bombs thrown at them they were unable to match this scoring effort by dream team especially from Snowy Oliver to had the gather step down to a tee scoring easily on a bunch of drives that just couldn’t be stopped dream team now in third place and get to the Choppers in 5th.
Buckled Knees got a good first ever win on the forever hustling Globo Gym in a grind of a game coming right down to the last few minutes to decide the winner. Scott M 11 & Levi E had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 11 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Dave G first step too quick for the guard defense on top totalling 8 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Liam C got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 21 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Jaden 4 & Corey played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 4 points on the sheet . Globo gym have been the big boys in the comp since entering and have not been challenged until the last couple of games this game was no different and missing some key Personnel they had to adjust and put the ball in Liam’s hands to get the bulk of the scoring done and he did it with finesse pulling moves and putting up threes like it was nothing… but this wasn’t enough as the combined team effort from buckled knees was just too much for the global defence which was getting swung left and right. Globo Cop their first loss of the season and I’m now tied with buckles knees for first place…Big game by Buckled knees!
