Figtree Cannons started strong and got the jump on Dream Team* in a game that had the winners go on scoring runs that werent answered in time. Tom S focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 14 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Dylan T was hitting the midrange shot with some soft touches 12 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Kieran N scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 12 points on the sheet , Peter D getting stats from everywhere including 9 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Figtree Cannons came out firing, like cannons do, and they seemed to have things wrapped up int eh first half with a comfy lead going into the final 20 minutes. Dream Team fought back with some strong one on one plays, but they couldn’t seem to get stops this game and the Cannons took advantage, Tom S the DPOY candidate making sure no one got going for the Dream Team who sit in 5th spot now. The Birchos with a huge comeback win being down most of the game against Buckled Knees in a loud and hectic game keeping refs active and players tense. Lloyd S beasted hard this game finishing on a great 14 points to shut the defense down. . Kane S played well as far as getting 7 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Joel S had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 21 points recorded by the bench , Scott M pitched in to add to the score with, 11 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . The Birchos were up for a game and the Buckled Knees brought it like they always do, pushing the cherry pick long passes and swiping at loose balls to try get the 1 up on the Birchos guards who who putting in some work this game. Buckled Knees tried to keep the game in control but a few infractions led to some loss in personnel and the depleted squad were left short with a lead to defend. Buckled Knees did what they could but the Birchos kept coming at them and in the final minute was able to scrape by with a bucket by Kane S and some icing free throws to finalize the come back victory. Buckled Knees in 2nd and Birchos in 4th!
Rogues grinded out a win in back and forth match vs Globo Gym in a game that started close but ended one sided. Zach F channelled Kobe and wanted the win this time, getting 20 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Jake 9 & Mark pitched in to add to the score with, 9 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Blake was unconscious and had no remorse for the defense piling in 15 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Jaden H was heating up as he bagged 8 points on the sheet . Globo Gyms 4 game win streak is over! Rogues were up and at them with some big time hustle and efficient shooting this game. Globo Gym were undermanned but keen to butt heads with the upcoming team to watch, the Rogues! Globo Gym ran the offense through Jaden and was able to get some great scoring runs together, but in the 2nd half it was all Rogues as Zach F started shooting like Melo from the midrange and taking bumps and sinking layups like a healthy Amare Stodamire!
