The games are just too close, and with some ins and outs with personnel it always makes for a different mathcup everytime, and with some players shooting becoming streaky, we had some new top scorers, check out whos got the moves!
Dream Team werent going to stand down against Figtree Cannons in a back and forth game holding the crowd in suspense Snowy O points from slashing and finding the gaps in the zone D. 9 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Dylan S was heating up as he bagged 9 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Tom S 5 , & Nathan C ended up with an efficient 5 points on the sheet , Dylan S 5 , & Andrew F scored well with 5 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Dream Team coming out of the locker room with some new threads, some strong game and some good combinations to snatch the win out of the Cannons Barrels. It was too close all game, both teams playing maximum D and allowing no easy open shots…the damage came from the constant attack on the paint, but the Dream Team crew did much of th same and by the end it was only a bucket it in, 1 three could have sent this one to OT. But the basketball gods would decree that Dream team can christen their new jerseys with a win!
The Birchos knew it would take more than buckets, they needed stops and that got them the win.. Buckled Knees and set the tone from the start, big mentions to the performers in this game. Adam L Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 14 points to shut the defense down. . Brayden A pulling in much needed offensive rebounds as well as 7 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Dave G kept his eye on the hoop and ended up with 9 points recorded by the bench , Joel Scott had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 8 points helping out with the teams offensive load. BIrchos wanted to show the Buckled knees what they could do easly in the game as they came out strong and kept up the pace never letting up on the fastbreak, and diving on every loose ball. Birchos took the ball inside as their bigs got to work dismantling the Buckled knees zone D which needed a few more hands up to stop the mid range shots from Birchos from going in and ultimately winning the game. Birchos in equal 2nd as well as Buckled knees!
