The Birchos undermanned but pumped up for the challenge vs More Buckets and was victorious this round, thanks to some players putting in work. Adam L got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 24 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Tim W slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 13 points worth of buckets in the win. whilst on the other team, Nic the recipient of some nice extra passes for open shots getting him 10 points on the sheet , Jack T scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 9 points but that wasnt enough to get his team over the line this time. Birchos were ballin. They were hungry for some steps in this game, as they got out running on the break and cutting in as soon as the gaps revealed themselves Adam L wanted to put his mark on this game as he hit J after J after drive casusing issues for the More Buckets zone all game. Birchos were able to get the lead and keep it behind some big shots by Tim to keep the scoring constant. More Buckets going old school with the OG Parrots line up from years back, the Tuesday night split coming back together to see if they can take down the always hustling Birchos who sit in equal 2nd now. More Buckets in 5th but just a win away from 4th!
Globo Gym took the game second half from the Figtree Cannons and pushed it all the way to the end. Reggie K couldnt be stopped this game, and couldnt be contained, the D had no answer as he scored a whopping 23 points to shut the defense down. . Kobe E Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 14 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Andrew F couldnt miss much as he led his team with 16 points recorded by the bench , Nathan C was heating up as he bagged 13 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Globo take their show to the Figtree Cannons’ home court and take a win by pushing the ball to the open player in the 2nd half. Reggie was a beast again, a one man wrecking crew complimented by some efficient shooting by the boys, as they worked around the box and 1 defense. Tom and crew got some good runs in the game, but weren’t able to cover the shooters all game and it costed them. Figtree Cannons sit in equal 2nd at the minute, and Globo gym in 1st place tied with Buckled knees.
Buckled Knees took the game second half from the Dream Team in a game that had the winners go on scoring runs that werent answered in time. Scott M 15 & Mtich R played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 15 point game to contribute to his teams effort. . Joel S was shooting well from deep with 12 points worth of buckets in the win. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Oscar scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 10 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Dylan S Popping up some well timed floaters in the lane getting numbers, with 9 points on the sheet . Buckled Knees starting off slow in this game missing on their usual eaerly threes, but they kept on their game and put them up there, and it worked, as they locked down on D and put up some good 2nd half scoring runs. Buckled Knees able to put Dream Team away in the 2nd half hitting consecutive threes and closing out on defence. Dream Team had some new players step up, Oscar getting a few to go as the new look Dream team go down and sit in 4th.
