1st quarter started and both teams started off slow, getting a feel for the pace of the game which, Scorgasms were pushing on the fast break, it was a big shooting quarter for Scorgasms too as they hit 3 threes but nothing in the paint. Flatliners were playing it safe and working their way inside for their buckets and they were able to get a 7 point lead at the quarter, Nevin was huge with 9 and Karl was getting going with 5. Steve M for Scoregasms led the team with 6 so far warming up his step back for the long game to come. Scorgasms only shooting 19% from the field in this quarter setting up a mission to catch up.
2nd quarter saw the Flatliners keep up their pace in pushing the ball inside and trying to control the tempo, but Scorgasms never stopped runnings, and Fraser was leveling up his intensity as he put in 10 points in the quarter, driving and hitting some mad shots. Steve kept up his hot scoring with 13 so far scoring 7 in this period. Flatliners outscored by 11 in this quarter giving up the lead by the halftime buzzer and looked to bounce back in the next 12 mins to save this game!
3rd quarter saw Flatliners come out and play some efficient ball, getting their looks from everyone to go in and played some good D as well to keep the Scorgasms from settling into a lead. Scorgasms were up by 1 point at the end of the quarter able to keep their momentum going into the 4th. Dane was driving and scooping to the hoop with some great finishes with 11 so far in the game to help Flatliners keep in this one.
4th quarter Scorgasms were on a rampage with getting boards and looking for the contact on their shots. The grind of a game was coming to an end, and Scorgasms got Alex G and Adrian G to lock in and hit some shots to assist with the win as they clamped down on Dane and Nevin who were the lead scorers for Flatliners so far. In the end the Scoregams held out and were able to secure another championship for Thursdays, the dynasty back on track!
Top performers this game from Flatliners were Nevin with 14pts 5rebs on 42% shooting, Dane M was the teams top baller with 15 points and 11 rebs on 60% shooting. Scoregamsms had 3 big statline players with Steve M on the game high 19pts 9rebs & 2 steals. Fraser was going nuts at one point to get his statline of 17points 6 steals which was instrumental in this win! Flatliners go home empty handed after a great season only to lose by a handful of buckets in the final game!

1st quarter Berkeley Prawns came out with some fire! the guards were looking for their 3 point shot and they were on point with Paul G and Kyle combining for 4 threes in the quarter to get a 6 point lead that FlammaBulls would have too come back from in a grind of a game already. Jordan W was the lead man for Flammabulls so far with 5 as everyone started warming up for a big game to come. Paul G was hungry this quarter with 12 points, pushing it inside and making the defense pay for not getting out to the 3.
2nd quarter FlammaBulls put their heads down and started firing early with Jordan H staying active inside the paint to get some poitns to go, 7 so far an 8 rebounds as they took over the paint and caught up to within 2 points by the end of the quarter, FlammaBulls shooting 59% so far in the game. Berkeley Prawns were playing well but were turning the ball over a bit this quarter allowing the comeback, Kyle D had 9 points up till now and the team was looking pretty equal statwise now with the game within 2 points now. Berkeley Prawns looked to reset and get more points up next quarter and hold on to their 2 point lead.
3rd quarter Berkeley Prawns kept playing their game, at one point it was a flurry of back and forth buckets as both teams scrambled for everything. Andrew S was aggressive and scoring well so far but the heavy D didnt allow many Prawns to get going but they were still able to hold onto the lead by 4 due to the FlammaBulls turnovers. FlammaBulls had Stuart G get some big plays to go down and had 7 points so far to help keep up the attack.
4th quarter started and the grind continues, with FlammaBulls not getting much progress so far to catch up with Berkeley Prawns holding on to a lead that didnt get erased till the mid 4th quarter when Jordan W activated the afterburners and was looking to get his buckets on the break and inside collecting fouls and hitting crucial free throws in this win. The defense from FlammaBulls was the big decider in this game , as they were able to take advantage of the 6 extra turnovers commmited by Berkeley Prawns and collected steals to fuel the win and championship for FlammaBulls !
Top performers this game from Berkeley Prawns were Paul G with 17 points 5 rebounds 4 steals, hitting 4 threes in the loss, Alec H was a monsters on the boards with 17 rebounds and Kyle D and Andrew S got 9 and 8 respectively. FlammaBulls lead scorers were Jordan W on 16 points, owning the game, and Stu G on 9pts and 7 rebs, Jordan H collected 8 points and 13 rebs!

1st quarter The Dox took the court and were looking to start quick and run the break, but Team BYE were getting back and putting the clamps on D. Oliver D was leading the way for The Dox with 5 points and 3 rebs and James L had 4 so far as they hustled hard to get the lead by 2. Team BYE started strong too with Dr Lach on 5 points to equal game high so far with 5 rebs also. Jack G had 4 as he hit some bangers which got the team hyped up for the next quarter!
2nd quarter Team BYE were finding it hard to get inside and get clean looks this game as the swarm of defense from The Dox made things tricky. Dr Lach kept up the attack as he was able to get some put backs from crashing the boards. The turnovers from Team BYE started mounting up and The Dox took advantage with some fast break points to get a 6 point lead at the half. Jye P starting to get his shot to fall but helping out to keep their lead.
3rd quarter saw The Dox waste no time in outrunning and outscoring Team BYE with a combo of players and sequences that saw them shoot out to a sizeable lead by the end of these 12 minutes. Curtis and Taj stepped up and were getting some drives and easy looks to land as the scoring run increased. Mitch was doing what he could to get some buckets and was met with some heavy defense which limited his usual output. The Dox ended up with a 19 point lead by the end of this quarter leaving Team BYE with the task of a miracle catchup in the last 12.
4th quarter action was the last chance for Team BYE to make a run for the lead and the pace was controlled by The Dox till now, as the turnovers from Team BYE showed it real effect with 9 more turnovers that Dox which made all the difference in this one. Team BYE controlled the boards winning by 7 rebs but they just couldnt hold on to the ball and paid dearly. The Dox ran away with it and maintained their 20 point lead to see the boys get the job done and win the game and become champions!
Top performers this game from Team BYE were Dr Lach on 21 points, 12 boards on 50% shooting. Jack G on 4pts 6 rebs, and Mitch on 4points and 5 rebs. For The Dox, Jye P was too fast and too smooth with 12 points, 6rebs, 4assists and 4 steals in the win. Jordain had 11 and Jame L 10pts 5 rebs!
