Div 1 had a shake up as the bottom team beat the top team and the ladder starts to get real busy as the 2nd half season grind goes on..
KillaBeez just able to get the win by a bucket or so vs Chargers in this round which would result in a great match. Andy K the recipient of some nice extra passes for open shots getting him 14 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Anf N Snapping the wrist to perfection finding the bottom of the net for 14 points to his name as he helps lead the boys to a much needed win. whilst on the other team, Tim S slotted in some 3s with some tidy finishes also to get 17 points on the sheet , Greg M scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 12 points together as they go down in this matchup. Defending champs looking for something big to happen, and it did in the first half, Anf hit 3, and Andy K hit 4 threes to get the lead in the hands of Killabeez, Chargers changed up the D locking them down 2nd half and clawed their way back into the game….almost! just short on a couple of plays, the last shot didn’t go from half court and Killabeez scraped out a win…Chargers cop a loss to the defending champs ending their 6 game run whilst KilaBeez stop their 5 gam slide with this epic grind of a win
Double Dunkers took the game second half from the Top Gunz in a game that started close but ended one sided. Jed P let it fly and hit more than missed with 14 points to shut the defense down. Seth G also helped out in the win with 8 points, a much needed performance as they won the scoring matchup against the other teams leading man. Despite a good effort by the other team as Doug K had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 12 points recorded by the bench , Jasper 6 & Karl P played hard and got the same score on the sheet, with 6 points helping out with the teams offensive load. This game was back and forth but the extra hustle on defense was the difference here, as well as the lack of BIgs in side for Top Gunz, who were just unlucky on some inside shots getting stopped by the Mutombo blocks from Peter, The ranks switch up and the competition heats up!
Div 2 was full of games with big runs and huge upsets, as well as some outright offensive barrages as the teams fight for wins and more points on the ladder..
Fighting Mongooses got a good win on the Multiple Scoregasm and it went to plan as they got a W on the backs of their scorers. Wayne J was unconscious and had no remorse for the defense piling in 25 points to get over the line. . Matty B just too much experience around the paint getting 6 points worth of buckets in the win. the only resistance coming from, Bryden had the licence to shoot and put them up to end on 14 points helping out with the teams offensive load. , James 9 & Ali M scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 9 points but a loss unfortunately . Mongooses just a little too lucky on this one as they erased a lead from MS with some aggressive inside play, dishing to the right spots and getting ht extra advantage…last shot to win the game was put up but just bounced out this time as Mongooses get away with a sneaky win.
Fighting Ducks had better offense than the defense of their opponent, Feel Team 6 , who underestimated the defence of their opponent and copped a loss for it Vikas C just too much experience around the paint getting 20 points to get over the line. . Sam B let it fly and hit more than missed with 13 points on the sheet which simply outscored the other teams leaders being, Dylan K scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 15 points recorded by the bench , Somebody was feeling good with 11 points helping out with the teams offensive load. . Ducks putting on the pressure and frustrating parts of Feel Teams lineup as they weren’t able to stop the great inside work and outside shooting from Ducks, Feel team has some nice moves inside but weren’t hitting many outside shots which always becomes a factor. Shellharbour Warriors Traded buckets most game, but kept a nice buffer all game to close it out vs The Bandwagoners and set the tone from the start, big mentions to the performers in this game. Which for this game outshines the effort of, Marley R with an epic performance and great score of 10 points worth of buckets in the loss.. , Izaak W scored well but it wasnt enough as he notched 8 points on the sheet . Big win for the Warriors as they put their first notch on the belt with a victory this game by the way of attacking from the outside and putting up some nice threes from the pocket, the game was in control as Bandwagoners find their groove a little too late to make a run. Welcoming both teams to UBL, this could be a rivalry in the making!
More Buckets had its sights set on Ultra Instinct and hustled harder getting the W. Doug D got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 18 big ones to conlclude the mission . Nick M focussed on the W, summoned his hustle to put in work for 12 points on the sheet even though from the other team, Hector A beasted hard this game finishing on a great 15 points but a loss unfortunately , Jake P started scoring later in the game but ended up on 11 points helping out with the teams offensive load. .More buckets still on top and take a win on the Ultra crew who usually resist the charge a lot harder, but this time the buckets weren’t fallin, they tried to shoot their way back ino the game, but the only thing working was the fast break. Mor Buckets had many weapon, just too much for Ultra to stop this time around.
Parrots started strong and got the jump on The Generals and went back to the locker room with a solid Win. N Dunstan got the game high in points outscoring everyone with 22 points to ensure they get the win this round. . Liam TR kept his average up there for the season with a nice 14 points in this game. Whilst on the other team, Bennett R played well as far as getting 11 points but a loss unfortunately , Kyle W finished the game with a commendable 11 points as he pitched in to add to the score. . Parrots snap a 4 game losing streak with this win, they deserved this one but it was hard fought as the physical Generals weren’t goin to let them have the victory easy as they look for their first W. Both teams looking to get wins and build a streak before end of regular season to get a chance to enter the playoffs!
